Awesome! Any chance we could get a full tutorial? Especially at pulling out and trimming data from weather provider.

Finally someone saying something sensible on the LCD running on 5Volts
@EZtech8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, BTW I am still running the same program with the Nodemcu hooked to the LCD display for over two months. No problems!
@Ed196018 жыл бұрын
great. Haven't been able yet to succesfully attach LCD to my esp (01). No problems with an I2C OLED though. Just got leveladapter. Will try that one for lcd
@EZtech8 жыл бұрын
Just remember I am using the nodemcu, you will need to make sure you are powering the lcd with 5volts. The level shifter is just for the communication lines between the two I2C, scl and sda. good luck
@Ed196018 жыл бұрын
yes indeed. I have seen people use it without a levelshifter. I find that too risky

Does it though? Are you sure it wont run on 3.7

Hello friend EZtech! I would like your help! I did not understand what to put in buoyID; I live in Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina, in the city of Florianópolis; How can I find this at the National Data Buoy Center? Thank you
@EZtech6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I do not see a Station that is currently operating near that area, the closest one that I see has and ID of 31051 All the Buoy's that are active in South America appear to be on the West Coast. Go to www.ndbc.noaa.gov/ for a map of the buoy's

Hi, Great project, where did you get the correct LCD library? Regards, Stan
@ProjectGuns7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the link, I got it working. I am also trying to get it working with a 2.8" tft display to be able to show more information. I quit doing brens, they were just to much work to be commercially viable. I put all my efforts into doing RPD's.

Hi friend! What is this board behind the display? Thank you
@EZtech6 жыл бұрын
That is an I2C adapter, you can purchase the LCD with or without the I2C; however, without it - it would be nearly impossible to connect it to the NodeMCU because of the number of pins you would need to connect it. I2C greatly simplifies the project.

This will work only where stations are available? Any way to set the correct data for Serbia?

Sorry, it will only work with the stations listed at the NDBC site.
