Thanks for this clip dude, I got it disconnected almost immediately. I even have the exact same barbecue! Identical wheels, wire base and even the silver label on the side tray, perfect clip for me. 👍

That's great and thanks for commenting. Ha ha that's cool, it's a good barbecue, just the fat can drip a bit, so put a tray at the bottom too to stop any fat getting on the patio, the drip tray can overflow a bit 👍

Great explanation but I'd would like to add, if you don't have a button under the gas release "handle" the handle itself is your button. Just push it in and it will release. I work in a camping shop and it seems 80% if products bought online come with a cheap regulator that doesn't indicate this clearly. And when searching online, 98% of results will tell you about a release button that you might not have.

Hi there. Great video, thanks so much. Can I just ask where the orange pipe connects to on the other end. I am so confused as to where on my bbq the orange pipe would hook into, before connecting the side into the gas tank. Thanks so much

Hi the pipe to the bbq should already be connected. You shouldn't have to attach the gas pipe to the bbq unless it's new and you need to assemble it, if so follow the instructions. Obviously, only connect a gas bottle to a gas bbq, if its not a gas bbq you shouldn't be trying to connect a gas bottle to it, that could be a tad dangerous and definitely not recommended 😬✋️🛑

Hmmmmmmmmm, thanks. It only took me and 5 other people at the end the bbq to finally realise the unseen button to release is ACTUALLY THE GAS ON AND OFF BLACK SWITCH. thankfully another guest watched another vid after a frustrating 9:40 minutes we did it easy. Hope this helps anyone else that’s as dumb as our bunch . Funny thing is there’s quite a few college graduates amongst us .

Hi, have exactly the same set up but for some reason the gas tap won’t flick up after attaching the regulator. It is stuck and the regulator then very easily comes off. Could there be a problem with the regulator we have or gas canister or is there something we’re missing. Seems very straight forward on your video but the gas tap won’t switch on at all. Any help would be great as tearing our hair out here 😂

Hi, hmm that is a bit unusual, sorry a simple query but is there anything on the gas cylinder, a protective cover or something? When putting the gas regulator on the cylinder make sure the valve is in the off position. When pushing it on it should click. Also check to see if your gas regulator is correct for the cylinder, good to do this one first. It doesn't sound right that the gas regulator comes off, is the jubilee clip holding the gas regulator onto the gas pipe secure, it's a good idea to check this. If none of this helps, I would take ask for assistance from the company that supplied your gas cylinder. Hope this helps. 👍

I have no gas coming out of the cylinder but if I take the regulator off and poke the valve with a screwdriver then propane comes out. Is that normal when the tank is nearly empty?

Hi, sounds like it's empty, I would be careful though at poking the valve because there still could be some residual gas in it. Best thing would be to contact the supplier. You can buy gas cylinder stick on gauges to see how full/empty the tank is from amazon I think.

Hmm, I'm not sure, you might get a bit of a hiss after disconnection. If unsure though speak to the supplier of the gas cylinder for advice 👍

Hi make sure the gas tap is off and is the regulator in the right position, should be facing the open part of the neck of the bottle. Are you pressing the button to release it?

@MunDad Yes it's on right position. Pressing botton to release it but the botton seems to be gammed. Is it because the pressure inside the gas tap? Can I use a force like a stick with hammer?

It's all good now. It wasn't the botton on the gas tap under the regulator but the switch on and off to regulate the pressure. Silly me 🤣

Hi, it could be the plastic switch you use to turn the gas on /off, try pushing that in. Hope that works 💪
