I was running my scarlet 2i2 into my camera to remove delay when using the CamLink 4k video capture. Now it all is coming through the CamLink and is synced up perfectly. At first, I was getting so much static noise and couldn't figure out why. This video basically solved all my problems. Thank you so much!

I tried option 1 with the Scarlett Solo to the Sony ZV-E10 with camera recording level set low. However, when I start recording, all I hear is a very loud static noise. I can barely hear my own voice. Cable is 3 feet. Any ideas what could cause this?

The scarlet is powered by plugging into a usb/computer, but other than that you shouldn’t need power if I’m understanding correctly.

You can get "dummy" batteries for most cameras that come with a power adapter. You need a usb cable for the Scarlett and power amd hdmi out for the camera. Then use obs studio to bring them all together.

Great video. I'm a novice. I have some electronic knowledge. But new nothing about audio interface. A few weeks ago I decided to try to to make karaoke singing videos to upload on my KZbin channel. I used my S21 phone for recording playing the karaoke video from my PC and singing (badly)!. The video and sound came out ok. I'm now looking to buy a audio interface like the scarlet . I will connect the audio output to my S21 for now and see if there is an improvement in the sound quality. Now here is the question. Where do I connect the audio line out from my PC to the Focusrite scarlet to mix with the microphone sound output? Also, what kind of a reasonable price microphone should I buy? Thank you

do you have to connect the Scarlett to a computer when using the audio interface connected to a video interface connected to a dslr mic input?

Hi, great info, got a question for you. I'm designing a set up where an XLR shotgun mic will run through the 2i2 and link to the camera via the headphone jack, the camera is being used as a webcam. The audio and visual will be recorded via webcam/screen capture software on the computer. A HDMI cable with capture card links the audio/visual from the camera to the computer which keeps it synced. None of my cables run over six feet in length so there should be no or very low interference. The question is do I need to download and use the 2i2 software for any reason in this set up? The 2i2 should work with the power only via the usb cable. The reason I'm asking is because if a usb cable is plugged into my computer when the HDMI is linked it mutes the volume so I can't hear via the screen capture set up. I'm thinking of powering the 2i2 from an adapter via the mains or from another computer which means the software would be irrelevant. Would this work?
@Richard-kl9bb
@Richard-kl9bb 8 ай бұрын
The answer is yes you do need to download the software. This way of setting up works amazingly well for screen capture tutorial work with Camtasia, audio and video sync is super stable. If your lighting is good and you have sound treated your workspace there is no editing required. Boom, highly efficient workflow, Back of the Net my Son - (UK football (soccer) term).

I’m running this with my Behringer X 32 and want to set up left and right bus outputs so I can have one for the left signal and one for the right signal. Should I purchase the two port cloud lifter? It looks on the video like you have a one port cloud lifter. Do I put the cloud lifter directly to the Behringer and then from to the focuslite and then from there to the camera interface?

hey there i'm trying to figure out how to use my 2 XLR mics through EVO 4 interface to my Nikon Z30. I would like to try stereo recording, have one mic be as the left mic and have the other be as the right mic so I can have a binaural audio when I record. I'm currently using 2 XLR cables to power my mics which is connected to my evo's line in and then i have a dual 1/4" TS (connected to my evo interface's line outputs) to 1/8" TRS jack (connected to my camera). For some reason it only sends a mono signal to my camera. I had a zoom H4N before as an audio interface and it would send a stereo signal to my camera. Please give me suggestions on what I should do! thank you!

I have a question I have a behringer 404 HD interface with 4 Condenser mic's hooked up and it is connected to my camera just like you said but I cannot get the mono to work, stereo works just fine, it comes out of the headphones great! but when I push the mono button I'm getting nothing out of the headphones so I can't monitor the audio only in stereo any ideas! When I switch it from stereo to mono the camera is Recognizing it Just fine And if I record without headphones it works great but I can't hear anything because I have no headphones to monitor. I'd appreciate any help I could get! I've been trying to figure this out for days.Thanks! Great Video By The Way!!

@@xxrounds64 I use the 192-4 and its a been a better much interface than the ones recommended. Better than both the Scarlett solo and the m track solo (which i bought and returned both) for functionally purposes imo. Plus the mtrack solo is known to have some red light catastrophic failure that’s never mentioned. I wish there was more research and experience with use that went into these recommendations vs a first impression for views. Especially for uneducated audio equipment users like myself

@@tpow2651 @tpow I feel you 100%! I've been making music for years and I'm well versed in audio interfaces. The only 2 reasons I bought my AIR 192 are because I couldn't afford a UA Apollo at the time and the AIR 192/14 was the most worthy competitor to it IMO (same functionality and inputs for lower price)
