It does. The “ed” would turn into a “t” sound since it’s preceded by a voiceless consonant, the “k” sound. So that gives you - “askt to”. So elision occurs here by removing that middle “t”. Now you have “ask to”. In everyday speech however, “asked to” is reduced to “astoo “. It sounds like “ass” and “two” put together.
