Amazing! You obviously adore what you do because you put so much free information out there to help people learn. Thank you for the resources that you provide. FYI your book is amazing as well as your deck!

Thank's Ana, a blinding tip at looking at the cards in a nebulous manner, brilliant! As a tarot reader have decided to broaden my horizons and give the playing cards a go; simply because one might enhance another, that tip for instance! Keep up the good work, you come across & put across very well in your video, looking forward to some more. Regards-John.

Cards are just a tool for a focus in a reading. If the person isn´t born clairvoyant then it is just like reading what you get out of the little Waite Tarot card book. I had a reading several months back here in Spain from a man who accurately described what the woman I would meet would be wearing a the time we first met, "notice her designer clothes", stilleto heels, told me her money came from oil and gas, accurately described her divorce, that she had 2 children living and one in the Spirit World. How then did he get all this from the cards? He says the cards are just a focus for him, he doesnt even look at them when he is doing the reading.

+Gary Williams Hi Gary. What you describe is a beautiful example of what is possible with card reading, but there are all levels of possibility between this and the other extreme you site, "reading out of the little card book." If there is an intelligence communicating through cards, which I can vouch for, then it is a matter of deciphering the language. This is the way I have looked at cards. I see each layout as a unique little puzzle. The actual act of card reading, when done properly, can actually expand your mind and develop greater intuition, and eventually more. But this takes a long term commitment. And a commitment to one very good system is the best. Then you learn the language, beyond those little white booklets. But everything has a starting place.

Hi Ana. I’m appreciative of your videos. I’ve seen this deck out there on different channels. I’ve tried searching for it, but I don’t know the name of the deck or the creator. What is the name of this deck? Thank you…
@AnaCortez Жыл бұрын
Hi @StandForLife. Thanks for checking out this deck! The name of it is The Playing Card Oracles, by CJ Freeman and Ana Cortez, published by US Games Systems.

Hi Ana, I really appreciate seeing your videos with example readings, it helps bring things together in my mind! I am having some difficulties with cards that have two (sometimes opposing meanings) and which meaning to focus on. If you have time, may I suggest a video in your series of card reading tips that would touch on this topic? Thank you!!! Blessings!

Jake G Hi Jake, sure! Thanks for asking. How to connect cards together is a challenge for many, so I am happy to do this. Thanks for watching! :-)

+Jake G Hi Jake. Just saw this again and apologies for not making this video yet. Until this happens, my suggestion is try to find what the seemingly opposing cards have in common. Opposing cards in layouts are some of the very best ways to develop your intuition and skill with your deck. Thanks again for your comment :-)

I agree not to keep nagging the cards. I actually just pull 1 or 2 to see what it has to tell me for a daily draw but then again I don't think everyday is good either. I think I may try making up fake clients to practice getting into the flow of reading. It's hard to have patience but I'm persistent.
@AnaCortez10 жыл бұрын
Persistence is key! Good for you :-) It really helped me in the beginning to write about the cards, but that is what "suits" me. There are so many creative ways to keep focus, I have always wanted to do a collage or art project using the images. Actually have done a little of that, come to think of it. But remember there are no "rules!"

My dear do you use reversed cards?
@AnaCortez2 жыл бұрын
thanks for your question! No, not as such. But I do pay attention to card direction, more like cards creating a larger picture together. Cards revealing their relationships by what they might be looking towards, covering up, moving away from, etc... Video #13 in the "How to Read Playing Cards" goes into this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWqXYpeprtSEeMU Thank you again for your comment :-)) and thanks for watching.

@@AnaCortez thankyou for your honest answer. Personally I have used reversed cards for many years but I am beggining to move away from them and using other approaches which I think are less tireing.

Thanks for your comment. Sorry you were not able to learn anything from this video. Btw, I always move right to left, in keeping with all the information in my book. I don't do anything just because it is the way other people are doing it.
