It's wonderful to hear an author explain something from their book, that you found so inspiring. Thank you.

OMG! I am loving how this is REALLY corresponding to the readings! It is AMAZING! I am even doing it with Numerology! It really accentuates the message! Thank U so much! I recently picked up a book by Stephen Skinner, Terrestrial Astrology Divination By Geomancy... A real in depth book. A bit overwhelming for a novice like myself but it is helping. Thank U so much for this tip! It is bringing so much more to the Rider Waite deck! There is much more pronounced vibration here. U can actually FEEL IT! I did what you said and when it came to the outcome, I tried to trick it! I laid the 1st set of cards with the question, got the 1st figure. Then I laid a second set of cards, got the second figure. Both figures went with the reading perfectly and then I added up the the first and second and THEN I laid another 4 cards to confirm and AGAIN, IT WENT BEAUTIFULLY! I am amazed! Your Dad is amazing! Try it with numerology! This is FUN! I am going to TWEET this video! Thank U!

Another option is a 3 card or 6 card spread (top is heaven, middle is man, bottom is earth) to generate I Ching hexagrams using your same methods from number and color. Still thinking about a good method for getting the probabilities of changing lines right though.
@AnaCortez6 жыл бұрын
Yes, Kevin. We are thinking similarly as I have been journaling for a new book possibility with a kind of geomantic I Ching, based on 4 elements. There are many different directions one can go. I have not worked with 3 or 6 card to translate directly into I Ching. Until I get my hands on any new idea and try it out, it is hard for me to tell how it would really translate in practice. For what you are doing, I would say color is potentially an area that could accommodate changing lines, as it is not fixed as odd or even as number is fixed.

Ana Cortez for right now, since I'm still thinking about possibilities for a method to get the probabilities of Changing and static lines correct, I'm playing around with the 3 card spread to generate trigrams first and then figure out how to do hexagrams later. Will keep you posted if anything else occurs to me. Thanks for the encouragement Ana. :)

Ana I really get to learn a lot from your videos..thanks for making them. There is a little suggestion I would like to make with all due respect. Try scripting and then talking about the subject this will help in shortening the time of the video and avoiding repetitions. Love.

Isn't there a problem with using the numbered value of the cards in a regular card deck? Because the cards from Ace through King in any one suit are 13 in number, there's a slightly higher probability of choosing an odd-numbered card (7/13) than an even-numbered card (6/13). I've seen Kelly from The Truth in Story use polyhedral dice, specifically the d4, d6, d8 and d20 dice, presumably because each one of them has an equal number of faces with an odd and even number of dots.

I think so. I prefer to use red and black and re shuffle the cards for every draw

That can be fixed easily. 2 Jacks have 2 eyes in the card illustrations, they should be EVEN. The other 2 Jacks have 1 eye, they should be ODD. This way the probability of getting odd or even in our 52-card deck is already equal.

When you make reference to geomancy in your book have you another book on just geomancy or in your playing card oracle book?
@AnaCortez4 жыл бұрын
Hi yes, in The Playing Card Oracles.

Hey Ana, I figured out a way you can do a full geomantic reading with your 4 card spread. Okay, so you can use color and number to get 2 witnesses and a judge but it's also possible to generate 2 more geomantic figures from the suits (diamonds and spades are one dot, clubs and hearts are two dots) and reversals (right side up is one dot, reversed is two dots). That way you can get a full chart or shield with mothers, daughters, nieces, etc.
@AnaCortez6 жыл бұрын
hmmmm.... that would be interesting! I don't see why not.... Also of course, it is simple to just lay out four 4-card spreads and generate the mothers using just the numbers in playing cards. Your model is interesting in that it uses more features of the layout. Keep innovating. :--))

Ok, I just did my numerology w/ Geomancy and OMG! Again, very accurate! I ended up w/ Via and I see it means way, and the elements water and moon! Hello?? My birthday falls in Cancer! How does it do that? LOL

Hi, Ana! Thank you for your video!! 😊 I have one question: why the reds are odd and the blacks are even? The reason why I am asking this is because I can't avoid making comparison with the elemental qualities from minor arcana, in the Tarot (I understand that it isn't the same thing, but I can't help making that comparison). Let me try to explain my point of view: as water and earth being understood as "female" elements, and air and fire as "male", wouldn't make more sense if the male element suits (black) were odd, and the female element suits (red) were even? I'm sorry if I'm talking nonsense (and excuse me for my English, this isn't my language).
@AnaCortez8 жыл бұрын
Hi Karla! Thanks for your question... There are different ways of getting the geo using color. The way I used in the video is the way I describe in my book, and you use the top card to determine the color geo for each layout. In the Playing Card Oracles System, Air is black but fire is red, so associations are different than you are referencing. Try out what your idea with the deck you are using, and see how it feels for you. If you like it, be consistent. I have seen different ways of determining color geo work for different people. Get the ebook (or book) for the Playing Card Oracles, btw... I'm sure you will love it :-))

Karla! SO sorry I did not reply to this. Very good question! Making a new video now explaining why and how I use color like I do to create geomantic figures. Color is much more chameleon-like than number, and changes according to the reading. In playing card Oracle system, elements are assigned to suits differently than you are talking about, plus male and female cards appear in all suits, in all elements. Please check out new video (which I am finishing making at the moment) and again, I AM SORRY for not replying much sooner!! Thanks again for your question!
