Connecting Key Voltmeter to Fiido D2S

A tutorial on how to connect a key voltmeter to your Fiido D2S.
WARNING:
Before attempting this, make sure that your bike is disconnected from your battery.
Properly insulate ALL CONNECTIONS before reconnecting your battery and turning on your bike
DISCLAIMER:

PROCEDURE:
1. Trace the G20 wire leading to the controller
2. Cut the G20 red and black wires ONLY
3. Connect the black wire from the voltmeter to the black wire of the G20 switch
4. Connect the red wire of the voltmeter to the red wire of the G20 switch
5. Connect the green wire of the voltmeter to the red wire going to the controller.
6. Ensure that all connections are insulated

i was able to test the voltmeter because my controller was attached to my battery as power source.

Great video on the voltmeter. Seeing as you seem to have identified all the wires what would be the best positive and negative feed for a USB phone mount that only has positive and negative wires?

i have a similar one but without the key its just red and black. i ran the red and black wires as a splitter like you show. it started up but it sits at 47 volts no matter what i do. any thoughts?

Hi Jayar, as one can see in the video, you've figured out the pinout of WK3615YS controller. 3 connectors are not connected (black/white; red /black/yellow; orange/black) - do You have any idea, for which purpose they were?

sorry haven't visited this video in a while... black/white: you can attach a 36v rear light here. it will turn on together with your light) red/black/yellow: for alarm. i dont know where to get it though orange/black: for USB phone holder with charger similar to the one installed in the L2 and the old D2

Look good but what is happening if i have 1 extra battery what voltage will i see?

if you are in a parallel connection, you will only see the same 42v fully charged. you no longer need an extra voltmeter. but if you decite to separate the batteries via a DPDT switch, a separate voltmeter is necessary on the second batt

Hi there - Do you by any chance know how to remove the "speed limiter" your D2S ? you seem pretty informed about its controller,

unfortunately there is no way to remove the speed limit. the limiter is hard coded and hardwired to the controller with no way of bypassing it.

yep... no way to remove the speed limit... the videos you see telling you how to remove the limiter are all fake unfortunately
