Hey Steve I have a Yamaha PSR-E443 Keyboard 🎹 which I know how to hook up to my 2012 MacBook pro just like you did in the video but I also need to know exactly how I can hook up my Akai MPD26 drum pad machine to my Mac too" why? Because I want to have it hooked up just in case someone comes by that really knows how to play the keys. And I'm thinking that I might need some sort of HUB adapter to hook up both midi unit's to my Mac, because the same exact usb cable that you had used to go inside your Yamaha PSRE-413 needs to connect to my Akai MPD26 so that is why I think that I need some sort of HUB adapter but which kind?

Nice simple video. Thanks!. If I play a midi file from PC with the Yamaha PSR keyboard as midi output device, the tones sound much different than the original tones of the PSR keyboard (e.g. Piano, Strings etc.). Do you know why?. Is it that the PSR keyboard uses a different set of sound patches when being controlled via MIDI input?. Thanks!

its because your PSR has so many different voices , if you can send the midi patches as you record is the only way , so most midi data that is recorded or sent comply with GM (general MIdi) the only to fix it is too find out the patch numbers .that are not sent when you record , and enter them into the midi file as the first piece of data ..... its a utter pain
