Such a wonderful Camino moment getting to wave to you as you were departing the youth hostel in Vila Nova de Cerveira! Was not expecting to see my KZbin mentor on my first Camino. My wife and I ended up loving Portugal so much we took this optional route to stay in Portugal just a little bit longer. Really happy to see you captured and posted a video of this moment in time. Haha it was fun to see some of the same rest stops highlighted along your trip as well.

You answered so many questions I had about connecting the two routes. I'm going next October (2025) starting in Porto and meeting friends in Tui to walk together to Santiago. Your video is a great help. Thanks

I decided to stay overnight in Valenca and walk to Tui the next morning. Evening in the fortress was amazing. All the stores close, the tourists go home and it is almost like you have the whole fort to yourself. Bulwark Hostel was lovely and we had the most beautiful sunset from the fortress walls. Walking through the tunnels of the fortress at dawn and crossing that bridge with the sun coming up was so beautiful. For those who walk shorter days, this is a good way to do it. Thanks for showing a different way to connect to the central from the coast. Hadn't thought about doing it like that.

How nice to see you (cue Willie Nelson) back on the road again. ;) This connector route is pretty. Just spoke to a long time friend who is moving to Portugal... mentioned the Camino to him and your channel for tips. Cheers and adventure on!

Camino Portugués is on my wish list, maybe next year. I was considering just doing the coastal route but this gave me some more ideas. Thank you Nadine, great video.

Thank you so much for making this Video! I stayed on the Litoral when I walked it this past May, but I absolutely want to walk it again and do this connector. Your video has inspired me even more to do this and I can’t thank you enough!

Nadine--thank you so much! Had always had a lot of questions about going back and forth from Coast to Central and how it worked!

Thank you so much for this video. Yesterday I was planning this exact route, as I am taking the first steps on my very first camino tomorrow when I reach Porto. I wasn't sure if it would be a smart move, being a novice, but I'm much more confident, now that I have seen how well signed this connector route is. So thank you once again. Bom Caminho ;)

Thanks Nadine. I have done both Central and Coastal but havent joined them up. I presume that the yellow arrows are mostly pointing TO Valenca so better to go that way ? Buen Camino.

Nadine I have been through Valença a few times but how is it pronounced I have assumed it as valenSa but is it Valenka?
@shalimarlight5 ай бұрын
Yes, pronounced ValenSa. When there is a cedilla under the letter c, the sound is soft like s.
@gurutzlete21265 ай бұрын
Valença is pronounced Valensa
