You mention so many things that other hikers can relate to. Especially the sausage fingers for me, but I "reach for the stars and ball my fists" every now and then to deal with that. Electrolytes have become my normal routine, and I think it helps for general fatigue, not noticed a correlation with sausage fingers there. Can't speak for tan lines, my skin gets covered up completely. Can't deal with the sun. Hair - becoming less of a problem every year. Definitely noticed the hiker's rash, even without the sun.

Which Albergie was this Nadine? Case Rectoral?
@NadineWalks2 күн бұрын
Yes! Albergue Rectoral San Mamede da Pena (I usually mention where I stay in the description under each video, so you can always check there if you want more details for future videos!)

Congratulations Nadine and thank you for sharing this wonderful journey. Norway is one of my favourite countries to visit where I did the midnight sun and polar night walks, hiked up the Pulpit Rock and the Kjeragbolten. I hope to hike up the Trolltunga after I have completed my planned Camino Walks.

Great video thanks. We are starting our hike in February. What brand-of gaiters did you use? Can’t wait to watch the rest of your hike.
@NadineWalks13 күн бұрын
I used Dirty Girl Gaiters- they worked so well! And February should be a great time for this walk, you'll love it! Good luck with your preparations!

Do you speak Spanish? or Portuguese?
@NadineWalks17 күн бұрын
Neither, though I do speak French. And have figured out just enough Spanish to navigate the Camino and communicate some basic needs

@@NadineWalks Thanks. I'm going to do the coastal route next fall and am planning on learning some Spanish before I get there. Love your videos. Inspiring for this old man.

I did the Norte and when she said that she repeated those first two weeks, I knew exactly why. The first two weeks was the highlight of almost the entire trip.

Oh at last. I don’t think I could have survived the suspense. Well done though, Nadine. Isn’t one last cardboard taco, a bit desperate? To be honest though I’m surprised that you’re not importing them to the U.S. as a sideline. Well I’m glad you’ve finished…I almost cannot wait for the next adventure…

Hi Nadine! I have been watching this series and it looks awesome! Did you find it easier or harder to find accommodations as compared to Camino's. I did complete the San Salvador and Primitivo in Sept/Oct and liked it more than the Frances. In fact, when I hit Melida I wanted to turn around lol! Thanks for sharing this adventure. Maybe one I'll do in 2025!

Love yr videos! Can u tell me what size is yr backpack?
@NadineWalks20 күн бұрын
It's 24 liters! Which is pretty small for the Camino; I like it but sometimes and especially on the less-traveled routes, I really cram it full of stuff and wish I had a bit more room. When I'm ready for my next pack, I'll probably increase the size to 32-35 liters.

So much fun to follow you through beautiful landscapes that I've mostly seen through a car or train window. I have lived in Trondheim, along a more eastern route for the last 10 km or so, on the other side of the river Nidelven. So I have walked a little bit of the pilgrim trail. I will never be able to walk the whole way, so I loved walking with you! Happy new trails

I stayed at that little unmanned place in 2017. We were so excited about the fireplace, but unfortunately, we found out the hard way that it was blocked. The place filled up with smoke. It took forever to de-smoke. Should have continued on, but it was getting late and we were without reservations. Froze our pa-tooties off that night! Quite the memory. Looks like they cleaned it up too. Super cute!
