This video was JUST what I needed! My usb port failed on me and I was setting up the ethernet connection wrong using the IP address shown on the machine's screen! Your video solved my problem SO quickly it doesn't even seem like it was problem at all!

Can this method work with laserOS and a RGB ILDA BLUETOOTH LASER ?
@CreatedWorkshop2 ай бұрын
I've honestly never heard of LaserOS or that laser type, so I'm not sure. This method should work with any Ruida-controlled CO2/RF gantry laser though!

2+ Hours of messing with Thunder Laser forums, submitting a ticket, confusing the tech, escalation, yada yada. 5 min watching a random person on You tube fixed everything. You got my sub and like on the video boss. Thunder was making me link up with the wifi IP and subnet. even their tech that called was reinforcing the use of the wifi IP and their guides all used it. When you showed the command for windows and pointed out the Ethernet IP and subnet i had to smack myself for not trying that earlier.

Haha, glad it was able to help! Sometimes things like this can be a bit finicky, and documentation honestly is lacking in this area for whatever reason. I'm glad you got it resolved though! And thanks for the sub, like, and comment!

Were just setting up our laser and came across your video. Is there an advantage to using the ethernet connection as opposed to USB? Also, I'm guessing your from TN as well.

From what I've seen, USB can drop packets when communicating with the laser in certain scenarios and Ethernet is more reliable. And yep! I'm in Middle Tennessee south of Nashville :)

What did you need subnet mask for?

What did you need subnet mask for?
@CreatedWorkshop8 ай бұрын
That's just a required part of the setup. It's a typical subnet mask for a normal Ethernet connection, and is just something that has to be set. Most devices set the subnet mask automatically, this just requires it to be set manually.

Thanks. Best not to keep a zero config IP address as static, use something in the private ranges. :)
