Wow. The talk is virtually flawless. Loved it very much. I thumbed that up before getting to the middle, and it only got better.

Perceptions drive behavior; change perception to change movement; change/maximize body software before changing body hardware we don't write movement code. therefore, our perspectives must come from learning to read it BETTER. Function governs structure and structure governs function child skipping sensory phase not good p1: do it well before you do it often -- well enough, not perfect p2: 30:56 protect, correct and develop -- engineered selection on which exercises

Thank you, this was very helpful and makes it clear, "Move Well" first, then "Move often", because you can. Have fun.

"Most people after every injury just get a little bit smaller life" - what an insightful statement into the standard response to injury. This man is changing the world of movement.

😱💔 36:00 "this may be painful to watch" These few minutes of the reconstruction of this so damaging movement pattern of that poor girl are grooved in my mind for ever Will never forget that squat. Going to enhance my body awareness. Anyone can be in that situation for a movement without getting enough internal feedback to correct it - soon enough... Bothering. As he says "put someone in a situation where the dysfunctions are obvious" (for me anything based on reverse lunge.. )

Mr. Cook is correct about everything he said except one thing. That he put through a bunch of idiots on weight machines and they couldn’t get it wrong. Specifically using a chest press weighted stack. To my experience, clients lift shoulders and compensate, they may also have the seat setting wrong and not using the equipment properly and causing damage. Also if a person is weak you can use weighted machines to get the client stronger so they may be able to get up from the floor. I use everything tool to the advantage of what the clientele needs at the time to progress. Other than this I envy Mr. Cook I have all his books I met him in 2007 and have became an extremely successful trainer. I consider Mr Cook a mentor of mine.

Actually that's not what he said. Please look again at the about the 29:40 mark. This is under the Protect portion of his talk. He's not saying that they couldn't do it wrong, that would be under the Correct section. He clearly says "You can't hurt yourself" which is not the same thing as doing it correct.
