Connection between Mewar and Netherlands!

Connections between Mewar, India and the Dutch/ Netherlands goes back to the 1700s, as is iterated in this video by Ms. Yolanda Ezendam. She refers to the visit of Joan Ketelaar of the Dutch East India Company, at the Mewar court, on invitation of the Maharana, as also the Dutch tiles seen at Udaipur's City Palace. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to host Ms. Ezendam at our Museum, and discuss approaches to looking at our shared heritage.
Ms. Ezendam is Head of Collections from the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed, RCE), Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, International Heritage Cooperation Programme.
