We have a pioneer, so in this vid you connected a wire from patch lead to another wire from the head unit. What was the head unit wire 🤔

Hi Richard, Thanks for your question, the lead from the head unit in this video is simply a connection to link the CTMULTILEAD to the head unit, each head unit features a different type depending on brand, for example the head unit used in this video is a Kenwood however on your Pioneer unit you would only need to use the 3.5mm jack on the CTMULTILEAD straight into the back of your head unit.

the small screen showing time and date and air condition indicators are working normally the clock is adjusted from the buttons on the steering wheel perfectly, the problem is with the radio you do not connect the steering wheel buttons with the radio. Honda civic fn2 , nakamichi radio

Hi I have followed the guide for this on the nissan juke and it worked for 1 min then it stopped I have checked all the connection but still nothing I put old unit back in it work fine but no joy with the kenwood any help would be appreciated

After following instructions and wiring diagrams to the letter this product fails to work! Yes I did make all connections before finally connecting to vehicle OEM quadlock connector. I did extensive research including getting advice from Connects2 direct on what product was needed for my installation in a 2010 Mercedes Sprinter motorhome, fitting a Kenwood DMX8019DABS. I trusted the advise given and purchased the fitting kit CTKMB18. The only steering wheel button to respond in any way is the phone hang up button, which changes the source on head unit. I cannot turn up or down the volume, cannot answer or hang up phone. In the Kenwood head unit under set up - interfaces - steering wheel controls it won’t respond when any of the steering wheel controls are pressed except hang up phone, which just changes source, so it cannot be programmed from the Kenwood head unit either... The harness and unit are either faulty, not correct for vehicle, or wiring instructions are incorrect...? I’m not your average joe diy’er either, I’m 40 years as a qualified motor vehicle tech and my steering wheel controls were perfect before fitting this product. Awaiting reply from connects2 technical department (who have been polite and helpful so far) on what to do next.....?

so what the point in having a 3.5 jack just in the head unit when the patch has it but used the brown wire instead i don’t get it why not just plug in the jack as the patch has it on it and the unit ??

The borg simulate, so you adapt simulation to the on board Picasso C3 ECU. This is found next to the battery under the black plastic cover. The small aluminium ecu can be unplugged and rebooted set to lymph mode. Do not attempt to do this without firstly removing the aftermarket radio that has probably caused this board problem in the first place. I made this mistake myself and citroën in Mansfield charged me £ 1400 TO CORRECT. ??? Mobile auto mechanics can do this cofiguration for around £200.thats if they have the correct mapping sort ware. I hope this has been helpful to you, good luck and also look out for the scubies.
