We had to go way back on the internet to find this performance! This was when Connie Talbot was just 6 years old singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Sooooooo cute! Peace X Love John X Lulu #ConnieTablot #ConnieTalbotReaction

Not professional quality??? By age 8, she had released 3 albums that went gold, platinum, and double platinum; had been on Oprah and Ellen; became and still is the youngest person in the world to have her own 1-hour television special; became the youngest to enter the British charts; had written her first song; and the list goes on. Other commenters have listed additional items. She is hugely popular and loved. She was and still is the most humble, delightful, and amazing person you'll ever meet. A true professional! Yeah, you totally missed it with your comment!!!

BGT is a talent show, not a singing contest. They aren't looking for someone ready to record an album or even a singer to win. This was season one. Connie was a runner up to Paul Potts. This performance is also what inspired Courtney Hadwin to start competing.

First. The BGT was the first one in 2007. What I love most is watching her videos up to now in 2020. 13 years! From a cute, little girl with a beatiful voice and smile growing to an amazing singer and musician today. What a journey!

The fact that Connie had vibrato at age 6 is incredible! Its something that is rare in child singers, Claire Crosby - now 7 I believe- is just starting to develop vibrato. My favourite version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Connie is the Eva Cassidy style she did at a charity ball when she was 10 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHuqpIuum69qi6c) . Another all time favourite is Defying Gravity (the longer version) on her channel. As someone who has been following Connie since 2007 its been amazing to see her progress and somehow she gets better with every performance. What is interesting about her early years is that she could sing beautifully like in this video but also belt out 'I will always love you' like a pro at 7.

There is a documentary about BGT, there they says Connie Talbot and Paul Potts saved the concept, if they not been on the show, it had closed down….

It was the first BGT. Connie came 2nd to Paul Potts. I have been a dedicated fanatical fan of Connie for 13 years now and I agree that Connie has developed into a brilliant singer /songwriter but more important she has one of the nicest personalities I have encountered in the industry. She is hugely popular all over the world and has over1 and a half million fans. Her videos have actually been viewed a breathtaking 1.7 BILLION times. Having said all that she comes across simply as the girl next door.

Keep in mind that this was 2009, the early years of the show & its concept was still not finalized. Ipresume that there weren't so many candidates eager to come to the show & compete. It was only when big names grew out of this contest like Paul Potts or Suzan Boyle that people began to come forward. BGT & later AGT grew so big that 2 more shows were aired: the X Factor which is based on singers only & nothing else. Then came "The Voice".

OMG!!! you guys!!! I never thougt that anybody would react to Connie Talbot nowadays, specially with this video that goes way back to 2013 when I watched it for the first time, I used to watch her first audition video every day and never got tired of it but eventually it drifted away little by little and then I found Angelina, so you can imagine how happy it makes me to see my 2 favorite girls being reacted on, I'm just so glad, I love them both, and I love you guys for having them both in your reactions.
