I agree with your sentiments Keith although I would suggest that she is an international star if not a mega one. She has nearly 2 million subscribers which makes her pretty famous in my book. I figure she was only 17 or 18 when she made this which suggests she has exceptional ability to be able to produce something this good at such a tender age. On top her remarkable ability she is also absolutely gorgeous and seemingly a really nice person as well.

The Internet has diluted the availability of 'record deals'- and it's a double-edged sword. On one hand, world can now discover and enjoy a gem like Connie Talbot whereas pre-Internet her chances of getting worldwide exposure would be greatly diminished - and possibly we never saw or heard of her. On the other hand, she does not NEED a recording 'deal' she can self-publish on Apple Store, Google Music, Spotify, and so on. I have already purchased one of heer original songs directly via iTunes. Connie has a real talent, nice vocal range and well-trained and well-controlled voice. I'm sure she will continue to enjoy success in her musical career, and I wouldn't be shocked to see her on TV or in movies. BGT, the Voice, and shows of that ilk are a great way to break out and get noticed, but look how famous Connie already is! We all need to encourage her by purchasing her work via online portals that I mentioned. Vote for Connie- make a purchase!

I had a bit of an emotional breakdown when my wife passed away from cancer. The lyrics of this song pretty much express the thoughts I was having at the time. Take from someone who knows, regret is an awful experience when it comes to those you love. Love the best you can while you have them. You never know how long that is going to be.

David Balderston I’m sorry you lost your wife. My wife is ill, she has suffered 3 strokes in the last year and a half. I am her sole caretaker & at times I’m just tired & aggravated & I know I take it out on her. I then feel like a shit...I think I need to be thankful I still have her with me, but we are all human. Your damned if you do and your damned if you don't. I for one would buy any record this young lady releases. I am also glad she wants to keep control of what she writes/sings. This may be what the problem is with being signed to a major. They are only interested in how much money they can make out of it. Writers and singers like Connie are up against a brick wall because they want to keep (rightly so) ALL control over their work, which reduces the Interest the major labels would have in her. A good agent is a great starting point, I hope she wins through and we see her music out there for all to buy. Oh, and the song is beautiful.

Oh my god... this song is so, so amazing...so much feels from this song. Such depth coming from such a young lady. She has such a deep, rich tone that is so rare, and when she says thank you so shyly, she becomes such a young lady. I was crying by the first words of this song Connie, because of the meaning of the lyrics and your beautiful voice as always. This song let me think about my rough time with my anorexia and other mental illnesses now. I let people down because I was/am too sick to keep in contact. I felt so related when you sang 'did I let you down?' because first I didn't even recognize I let my friends down when they say to me that I was so sick I let them go. And that's where my mind began to 'thinking bout the things that I have could have said/done.' But otherwise many friends of me let me down because they only need me when I'm happy enough for them. And when I was at my deepest point, just as you sang: 'I never thought it would end like this, I used to be so much stronger but now I'm bout to break.' And I broke, ended up in hospitals etc and I'm still broken and 'I am drowning' but I'm also trying my hardest to swim. I know 'I'll always have this pain 'cause I'm on my own' now but that doesn't keep me away from fighting for my life! This is why I feel so related to this song Connie. What a piercing song about regret, so beautifully sung. It goes right to the heart of anyone who ever lost a love and regrets not doing and saying enough / the right things, and now it's too late.
