Awesome! He also changes the position of his lower (right) hand as well to increase this leverage. And it seems as though he supinates his top hand as Kane does when stick handling which u may have already covered. Love ur videos as a 55 yr old beer leaguer endeavoring to improve constantly...

Can you explain the bottom hand grip?
@chriso58429 ай бұрын
Holding the stick his lower hand wrist is supinated and upper hand wrist is pronated. The upper hand wrist was both initially pronated and flexed.

I noticed his stick height helps with the torque of the stick it’s longer than usual

I've started doing his toe drag shot. I think the rounded back is important, For me because I'm short but strong in my back & arms.

Best cue for beer leaguer like me that helped to shoot like this, is also in shot drive knee over toe, this results in drooping hips, this result on "lean on stick" and flex.

@Train2point0 Bedard also has posterior pelvic tilt to maximize the ability to kinesthetically connect the upper and lower body. Also the posterior pelvic tilt enables him to maximize the transverse rotation betweeen the lower and upperbody. If he were to have a neutral or anterior pelvic tilt he would not be able to get all of the energy he produces from the little things he does with his feet to up the kinetic chain. Also posterior pelvic tilt enables the obligues and the rest of the abdominal sling to experience maximal stretch reflex during the movement.

What software do you use for mapping the body mechanics?

When he’s creating the stretch (pulling away from the body) it almost appears like he’s unsheathing a sword. Pretty cool

Is the lower grip a standard v grip or on the side a bit to get a stronger push

So paradoxical. The more you relax the more power you get

That's no longer a hockey stick. 65flex composite thingy for slinging a puck.

Amazing how technology has changed shooting throughout the decades.

Im amazed at how accurate he is. The result of shooting thousands and thousands of pucks I guess.
