Roller hockey is so much fun and very accessible for those not playing competitive hockey anymore. Wish more leagues existed
@AC-wl7ve2 ай бұрын
It’s not that accessible. There’s only 2 leagues in the lower mainland in bc and they are all full of teams grandfathered in and those teams are usually full of a lot of the same players. I tried to enter my team into this league bedard plays in and they told me there’s a wait list of about 50 other teams trying to get a spot.
@dandenrode2 ай бұрын
That's a good sign though. The demand is high and won't be long before leagues start getting bigger or more new ones start popping up.

@@AC-wl7vehow come they dont open more leagues with 50 team waiting list? Thats just money lost
@AC-wl7ve2 ай бұрын
@@mez9673 when i was talking to the guy who runs this league he was saying its really expensive to get a building for it. there used to be a couple ice rinks that would take out the ice and do roller in the spring and apparently they stopped doing that because they dont want the ice hockey players getting into roller or something stupid. this rink in north van is also only roller hockey in the spring so theres one league (that only has one rink) that runs all year round. i heard a rumour that bedard wants to open up a new rink in the future, but i have no idea if theres any truth to that.
