I watched him back then and he used to be roommates with another youtuber, Einshine, and frequently collaborated with him. Some very bad stuff came out about Einshine (iirc he was caught hitting up underage female fans) so I can see female fans unsubscribing from Joey as well in solidarity. When the news dropped he completely distanced himself from the guy but (as far as I remember) but the situation was never addressed other than him vaguely mentioning a few months later that he cut out some toxic people from his life. Not that he necessarily needed to address it, but yeah I can see some female fans leaving if they heard about that
