Maybe, but then again, the current plot is trying to get the main girl away from her obsession with dogs and interested in the main character as a human. I think the author had an idea for some kind of degenerate zoophilic series, but exhausted their ideas for scenes too early and then had to come up with something resembling an actual plot.

Inukai's Dog is one of those anime that I put into the same category with things such as Boku No Pico, Goatse, Lemon Party and BME Pain Olympics, art piece whose sole purpose is for shock value and shock value alone and nothing else. The writers knew this was the case, they knew this was a bad idea, but they went "lets makes this as repulsive as possible and make this anyways" and they succeeded.

I know with Interspecies Reviewers, part of what happened there was that the production company straight up lied to everyone about what the content was like until it began airing. I think it was actually significantly more explicit than the manga? It got them in big trouble and people accused Crunchyroll (I think) of bowing to censorship but what actually happened was that part of the production committee panicked and straight up told Crunchyroll to stop streaming it. I think it still got an English blu-ray release though.

It is neither of those things, so many people are assuming what the show is about who clearly have not seen it at all. So... (actual plot spoiler warning I guess...): A somewhat evil crazy science girl at his school gave him something that turned him into a dog and she's been watching everything he's been doing as a dog as a kind of twisted experiment. At some point he manages to get into his own home where his parents are and it's clear he's been missing for a while. Also all he has to do to turn back into a human is apparently French kiss with the girl he likes, which doesn't even happen so as an ecchi anime it's kinda tame tbh but it is pretty funny.

It is available on youtube but as for subsciption for South and Southeast Asia + Oceania continents and they also uploaded the 2 OVA from its exclusive Blu-Ray only release

After Garnt highlighted how good the manga's art is in his video I actually ended up checking it out lol, as messed up as the premise and some of the main characters are, I was surprised that it actually has a legitimate plot and plot progression with every chapter, and the whole thing really is in POV. Also, it's kinda funny when the story itself is clearly made for horny people, but the MC is portrayed as a very reasonable and moral person who tries not to do horny things lol. I'm not sure why that's more acceptable for ecchi stories than someone who fully engages with it.
