The verdict should not be conflated with “the truth”. Only two people know the truth, Conor and Nikita. The truth cannot be appealed or overturned. All evidence should be publicly available and the verdict still stands, until appealed.

Hi Terry, thank you as always for your excellent summary & reporting. I believe many folks have some difficulty with this case on the basis that our criminal prosecution system (DPP) determined that there was insufficient evidence to prosecute Mr. McGregor and hence, no realistic possibility of convicting him, leaving him with no case to answer in this matter. To be then found against in a civil trial where the burden of proof required is far less may indeed seem unfair considering the lack of evidence for a criminal trial. It certainly seems that criminal v civil matters raise many interesting questions and as we can see with this case, extremely polarising opinions & views.
