Swim Team No one denies this brother. He’s the GOD of mma! I understand that Mendes wasn’t prepared for Conor, but on the flip side, Conor trained for a striker, not one of the best wrestlers in the ufc. It goes both ways my man. I really am a huge Conor fan and I love what he has done for the sport! Khabib makes the best of the best look like amateurs though. He had the strength of a light heavy weight. Just like everyone thought Conor had a “punchers chance” against Floyd! He didn’t have a chance at that ever happening! No one can prepare for Khabib. That’s all I’m saying.

Prediction: Conor surprisingly stuffs a lot of takedowns and badly outstrikes Khabib hurting him early, but Khabib shows a way better chin and heart than hes given credit for and survives and proceeds to out-grit and outlast Conor, getting takedowns in later rounds and winning a war of attrition as Conor fades like he always does.
@Rpagsis16 жыл бұрын
Those valuable Rounds he acquired in the ring with an ATG will translate in the octagon Saturday night. Conor already had a high IQ with distance and speed...then he found out it's on a whole different level in the boxing ring against the Game's chess grandmaster. His left will find a home and he will plant some doubt in Khabib;s head on the takedown..Just like Canelo did with GGG against the ropes. Khabib will be hesitant to pull the trigger,

Meh, boxings a completely different game. Different distances, etc. I wouldnt put too much stock into it
@Rpagsis16 жыл бұрын
I am a Boxing Aficionado and have watching for 40 years......it's a lesson he learned first hand from the grandmaster in terms of positioning and routes...it;s about stutter steps ...setting up traps. Boxing footwork and positioning is much more polished and precise simply because boxers are limited to only using arms fists and shoulders.--hence why striking in the MMA and Punches thrown in Boxing are on completely different levels.. I love the UFC and Conor's Game but he absolutely was schooled by and ATG who looked slow, out of shape,and old. Conor did well given the circumstances and everyone in the Boxing Universe give him nothing but respect but he learned first hand he has a ton of work ahead of him if he ever plans to step in the ring again. Just by the open workout he has already implemented little things in his movements and hands...he couldn't hurt Floyd because he didn;t know how to sit down on them to create leverage..From what I see now, he has already addressed that issue, And finally...Yes you are right there shouldn't be too much stock put in it and I wasn't trying to make that argument but it's those valuable little tweaks and adjustments that usually are the drivers that raise the overall level of a system..

But what i would give to see those two in the same room with microphones again.😂

You can already see he doesn’t have that range control anymore, why is he so insistent to change his style to boxing. Even his footwork looks so… stationary compared to before. I really don’t see a reason for this change. You get he uses wild kicks less, wrestling getting more prominent. And yes maybe he fears the takedown so he doesn’t want to use the wide stance but the only takedown really troublesome against a long range style is ones where you grab that leg, but that shouldn’t have been enough to change it, definitely isn’t the reason for his boxing change. It doesn’t make any sense….
