When I was following the match on twitter and then when I was editing this vlog, that save at 1-0, I knew that was one of the biggest saves Conor would have to make for the title race, it was a huge turning point in the match and after that the momentum was well and truly in Pitea's favour. Big saves in moments like that win games.

Two great saves toward the end of the game, really important. The squad really look like they trust each other, you can see that your forwards seem to link up really well and the defence have a lot of faith in one another, particularly in you as a keeper. Agree with the distribution point as well, your balls to what I assume are the fullbacks looked really consistent.

Hey Connor I played as a centre back till my 16 and I left football cause I felt the environment between the coach and the team was too competitive and toxic, I also had a couple of problems with anxiety so I couldn't continue. I can definitely see you get picked up soon enough in a higher tier, keep performing consistently doing the right things week in week out w the training etc and the rest will happen eventually. There is a much greater difference in quality between the teams in gibraltar, the top teams have some excellent players with european experience, whilst some of the smaller teams struggle alot. So it's more competitive between the teams here, with some very good players and strong teams!

Hey Conor. Got a question about mentality, and how to bounce back from a defeat: Last sunday, my team and I (GK) faced a strong opponent in the cup, from a few leagues above us (amateur vs semi-pros). We did well, the game ended 1-1 and we were in a PK-shootout. I correctly read 3 of the kicks, first was too well placed, 2nd I saved and the 3rd ended up going through my hands (I had both hands on the ball, but for a second it felt like I had soap on my almost new Kaliaaer gloves. (Yes, I use your promocode). Long story short, we lost the game. The worst part is, that the shot that went through my hands would've been the save that won us the match. Even though I earned the 'Player of the Match' reward, I still feel like trash. I feel like I let my team down, and that feeling is stuck. How do you cope with that feeling? I try to actively focus on all of the things I did well in the shootout, like how I read them, but I still have trouble sleeping, with that f**king goal going through my head again and again. In 5 days we have our last league match, and we're still in the race for the title and promotion. But we need 3 points anda few other results going our way too. My question is this: How to cope with a defeat, that you feel responsible for? And how to bounce back stronger and more mentally fit?

Let it go in all honesty my friend. Penalties are a lottery, and these things happen. You had a very good game to get to that point, that is the most important thing. It wasnt a technical or a performance error, so nothing you can work on in training. See the next game as another opportunity to perform, and show people what you can do! Go and enjoy it!
