EASILY one of the best episodes ever. This year my handling was one of the worst...I kept blaming my gloves but they had decent contact latex. OG blaze's to be exact but after learning about the spin it made me realise I didn't attack enough!! Possibly one of the only video clips in the GK world that talk about dealing with spinning shots!!

Well my season ended today and coincidentally Conor finished his last episode of season 4 my team came second this time and I saved a pen to get us into the finals. This video is great I had coach with my last team argue for ages the importance of staying more on line to give you more time to react and attack the ball especially for corners one step back to go forward . Never thought about killing the spin before but what a great video showing the importance of timing everything to give to the best possible change wether it’s kicking or catching.

Wow this is awesome. I've been follow both of you guys, and this was something that remained me 30 yrs ago. I started playing without gloves, and the 1st lessons they teach me was the way that you put your hands to catch the ball, and how to attack the ball. This is one of the best goalkeepers video I've watched in KZbin. Hope the young GK will learn I lot about. That shows the concentration it's the most important in a GK. O'Connor at the beginning you're not very confident with the gloves, and with some advices you start getting better with the gloves, and at the end your confidence was top, and when you put the gloves with grip it was like a fish in the water 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

This video just shows that there is always something to learn, no matter how good you become there is always something, I feel privileged that I was able to watch this video learned a lot, a hell lot. I have been doing goalkeeping without any gloves just bare hands and I like it better without any gloves and never faced any real problem in my grip, I can play with gloves too but I just don't feel connected to the ball that well. Great video! I enjoyed the feedback about attacking the ball at the moment you'd have the strongest handle of the ball. It seems we are taught to take the ball down at the highest point so to beat the field players with a header on a cross into the goal (I could be wrong), but if your jumping your highest and your arms are up you will most likely still be above the field players. Great video!!!!

Have you noticed lee , he pushes his head backward while making an air save 🤔 25:31 He watch the ball untill the save is complete.

We believe it’s to help your reach. When you try to reach for something at max distance / meeting beyond, you will arc every part of your spine to make contact

Especially if the ball has pace and you have to meet from beyond. This is something that is just natural to Lee and not thinking of that to make the save. Hope that helps 😃

Still been waiting to use mine, had them about 2 months. 😆 One thing I find, when training with my GK coach I come and I claim all sorts of crosses, but in games I literally feel myself so nervous / hesitant about high balls into the area I end up not coming. 😕
