Overcoming addictions is so much easier said than done. Wherever you’re at on your journey, comment in here with whatever you need in order to better hold yourself accountable to actually creating the change you desire in your life. Remember that when it comes to overcoming a crappy habit or addiction, we must always replace the negative habit with a new positive healthy and real habit that is equally impactful and which delivers a renewed and natural dopamine release… For example: If you want to remove the habit of doing hard drugs or heavy drinking on a regular basis, you will need to begin implementing intense activities that push you outside of your comfort zone, such as sky diving, cliff jumping, bungee jumping, etc… things such as these induce high levels of natural doses of adrenaline, dopamine and endorphins which all hold an equal peak of stimulation and excitement, thus allowing you to transfer or swap your addictive behavior with the spirit of adventure. I’m here to help you all in any way that I can, so don’t hold back. Don’t stay silent. This is your life and it’s time to start living it to the absolute best of your abilities. In all ways and always.

Glad you shared your story, my D.O.C has always been illicit/prescription opioids, when you’re dependent on a substance it feels as like permanent brain fog. And I found out quick just like you said that you’re a reflection of who your friends are. Disconnect from the friends that don’t have your best interest in mind, and just heal!

Amen! You’re totally right! Brain fog is seriously the most frustrating feeling, but so refreshing once it clears away and you get to experience the immense contrast.

I like the points about jesus, being true to yourself, and the dangers of going deep into a habit alone which i think potentiates the addiction cycle

I’m glad that resonates with you. The point about Jesus’s Disciples is a neat perspective to consider. Yes, you are totally right. Life is all about team work, especially when forming healthier habits.
