great vid for new players. im going to offer a different perspective for long sword setup; you can drop 'with valour' (unless youre a dps long sword for some reason). instead, go with martial prowess (2 hits, each hit lowers targets defence by 15%, 30% total) and counter attack. both of these skill recover you from daze and knockdowns. great for getting out of mauls perma cc's and increases your survivability.

martial prowess too good to not be must have. the bleed on counterattack is also nice. the only time to switch counterattack is maybe to shield bash to prevent them from running away from the clunky animation, if you are running sally as ult that is. does decent enoght dmg(for a non dmg class) even with with meat tank build. but that is just if you are old longsword player who wants spice up your routine every now and then when you get tired of running clash of shields all the time. would not recommend to new players with all these mauls running around now.

Any players who want to try maul I highly recommend this skill set for 3 knock down recoveries and it’s the easiest I’ve found to apply a lot of damage. You go earth shatter (q), up from hel (e), mountain breaker (r), and forge of war (t). You combo (same combo if not on horse) dismount then r+q, auto + e for animation cancel, and then forge of war if needed

18:45 Not me who started on dual blades and hates heavy armor to this day. The only slower weapon I can stand playing is the poleaxe because it at least feels like its slowness is rewarded with the ability to really get stuck in and defend your units.

for the musket, you should use scatter shot, the reload, leg sweap and 5x bullet rain as an ultimate

Leg sweap is underrated but i wouldn't recommend it for new players becouse you bascially don't have an escape anymore but nice ability.

Came back to the game to learn spear had fell low in the meta😢 switch to pole axe. Completely different mode of gameplay, this video really helped me understand the change in play style I need

I left the game long ago and I was looking for a classes video to check if they added the great sword I kinda like the pike as I love any two handed weapons specially pole axe I'm not sure I will be back to the game I find it a repeatative game but still I love to check it out from time to time thanks for the video

thanks for info i play this game just 3 days, i mostly use dual blades because i can run away with it haha, may i ask you i want to unlock one of 3 season weapon (chain dart, maul, pike) which one i should go first as new player?

Well if you like DB, there's a high chance you will like chain dart. Maul is pretty op front liner. And pike is fun but hard to master.

martial prowess is way better than counterattack because martial prowess reduces the enemies armour by 30%

hmm every time someone brings up that they are staggered that maul hasnt be nerfed yet.....my first tough always is: you have to do more challanges to 100% maul ,than for pike and chain dart combined( both of them howewer anoying may be to fight againts are relatively balanced). And lets be honest at least 75% percent of maul players paid for those challanges or for some of them........in the perspective of BG its worth to keep it maul a bit op

For the sake of the game, maul damage needs to be reduced. No one should be allowed to kill another hero in 3 hits. Pike and maul are both favored classes. When you see the complaints in the game its because there is some truth behind it.

@@aaronlee5796 100% true....maul has one of the highest damage the best dodge and one of the best owerall survivability among all heroes. Maul needs a significant nerf i agree. Pike on the otherhand loosk realy cool and strong for sure, but has one of the highest skill cap among all heroes in game.
