For both of them I do top line personally and i feel as though it works well on both, definitely the best for azaps imp pikes u can try top and bottom and see which u prefer they are both good but I prefer top! :D

I think the best part about the loyal guards is that they counter the two most dominant metas from last season : Frontline diving and imperial pike advances. Made the game so much better in terms of strategy.

Yeah I think they need some balancing in terms of damage but I'm glad they changed up the meta from just constant imp pike walks made it a bit more interesting for sure xD

Yeah they are one of my favorite units as well and are super effective and strong only reason I didn't put them in S tier is because 1 arty shot or hero diving them can kill them if you get surprised but they are the best musket in the game imo :D

I would say palace guard is good at preventing enemy from coming up at ladder, I got 6 heroes kills with them for that lol, other than that they just suck but good at defending and die super slowly. I would say if they get speed buff on attack and movement speed they’ll be great unit

D Tier not worth a barracks slot unless you are leveling them to promote them to Stalwarts or Paladins both are superior to the non promoted version:D

I disagree on the vassal longbows, i feel they're as good/little bit worse than the imp archers. They one-shot archers outside of the enemies archer range.

That includes artillery, hero diving, trebs, even other more relevant archer units like Namkhans. I have them elited, I know what you mean when you say you can get quite a few kills. However, they just don't provide enough support to your team to get the full value of their leadership.

I'm waiting for the halberdiers, not because of them but because i despise cav so much that i won't be playing the rest of the season. Well because of cav and because i don't think these unit promotions are good content, in fact they are more like time gated patches that put everyone that doesn't participate in the season on the pre buffed versions of units while the rest just run around with their much stronger units. might check out the next season though

After using them more since i made this i would put paladins at A rank as they are definitely in the meta, but stalwarts overall in more situations are better regardless that paladins kill them :D
