You also seem to have missed a few Aura of Death triggers on the Mountain Jotnar and Stalkers. So that might have helped even with the weaker heal lol. Sadly Kheres javelins are back in style as insanity was just nerfed a bit.

Love seeing Conquest on the channel :D Few things, objectives cant be attacked until Turn 3 and Hazlias Touch heal only heals 1 + X (Where X is the Dark Power pool), so in this game would only ever heal 2

@@Fanncyfox Objectives can be attacked before turn 3 :) An Objective ZONE cannot be scored until after turn 3 (So it can first be scored end of turn 4) But an Objective MARKER can be attacked and scored from at any time.

Conquest is far and away my favorite miniatures game, it’s just so fluid and the game mechanics make for great fun, and the lore and factions are a blast too. Wish more people played.

Great game. As always nice to watch. It make me courious if the healing was not owerpowered (as You shouldnt heal for each success but on success You heal "1+Power level" so in game case 1+1=2 wound healed :)). That would give Nords some chaces ;). Looking forward for next videos.

Highly recommend the One Player or Two player starters, these are great value and give you balanced forces. You can expand them with whatever you like, there are no dead weight regiments in Conquest in general. Just make sure to check your preferred characters' mainstay and restricted warband composition for TLAOK (in First Blood anything goes).

Hazlia's Touch heals 1+Tier amount of wounds. It's basically an auto-pass that heals 2-4 wounds. Also, OD does not hold well against shooting attacks, especially those Legionaries. And when you see FD, kill it before anything else.

Love more Conquest. FYI Tycho your list is missing a Jarl to make it legit. When you take the Konungyr you must take a Jarl. It is one of the "penalties" for taking the Konungyr. Generally people just throw the Jarl in with a couple stands of Raiders.

It's been a while since I played Conquest. Did Tycho ever trigger Blood of the Einherjer? He never mentioned it and I don't think I saw him re-rolling due to flurry. Also, why is he rolling some many dice for Aura of Death? It's 2 dice per stand, not per model.

You guys played it a bit wrong. Per the new scenario rules, the objective markers cannot be damaged or destroyed in the first two rounds of the game... So you can only start dealing damage to them in Round 3

Hazlia's Touch does not heal depending on the successes, but 1+current level of dark power pool. He should have healed 2 each Time, not 6.

Don't worry. You can get two or three conquest armies for the price of one 40k army The models are larger and excellently sculpted, and their plastic and resin is getting better the whole time For being a relatively new company and learning as they go, they're very impressive

@@corver2597 I wiped her off the map with some Vanguard Clone Infiltrators when she was at tier 2. She is scary but if she dies the OD player loses all the dark power they had invested in her pool and if she reaches tier 3 she is near unstoppable but also eats her own army when she is anywhere near them.

Such a Greate Video! I am love with the setting too. I need help with one rule: I play the Spire and the Catabolic Node trubbles me a bit. The rules (The first time the Regiment uses a Clash Action, roll 2D6. The Catabolic Node inflicts that number of hits on one enemy Regiment in contact with its Regiment. It also inflicts a number of hits on its own Regiment equal to the highest score of the individual D6s rolled....) My problem: Means the first time the Clash aktion is used, that the "explosion" is added to all my dice pool and after the rolling i kill myself or means it, that i clash first explode later and kill my self or do i kill my troops first, than clash with the rest. I am confused here , but is soooo im portant to have the timing here right. Hope someone knows the proper answer.

Love conquest. Love Tycos energy. But the OP healing which did not follow the rules, bringing back Golems and the skiped turn all going in the OP old dominions favor kind of tainted the enjoyment this time. Happy holidays though.

Yea forgetting the turn order probably changed your chances of winning by a lot. Your blooded could have halfed the attacks you were taking or even wiped the unit with the stalkers

Great video. Shame Para have gone down the road of "new army, big meta winner!" The wadrun were unbelievably powerful at launch and so are the old Dominion. That heal needs to roll 3 less dice.

Micheal messed up how the healing works. Its supposed to only 1 + the level of the Dark Power pool, which was 1 this entire game. So he should have only been healing 2 wounds

Wadrhun barely changed since their release, they are a complex faction to play with, but also to play against - an experienced player will know how to mitigate the Chants. As for Old Dominion they can be strong but any faction can. Tournaments places are represented somewhat equally by all of them to be honest. But Play On Tabletop crew has a lot of games to cover, so rules mistakes can happen and they don't play "big meta".

Such a great game, but sad that the only largish channel to show battle reports is only doing it when sponsored by the game company. It shows they wouldn't otherwise. I know the game company sent them painted models, so it's not like there was probably a huge amount of interest otherwise. This game doesn't seem to be growing in a sizeable way

I get as KZbinrs you don't want to put all your eggs into one basket, but still want to properly support your main breadwinner, 40k. Give it most of the video entries. With Conquest, it seems you only do it when sponsored by the company making the game. It gives the impression you might not want to play it otherwise.

We play Conquest off hours in the studio as much as we play 40k off hours, which isn't as much as we would like but our schedules are packed. The reality is that regardless of it being 40k, Conquest or Marvel Crisis Protocol which we also did, the cost to us is 50+ hours of an editor. We will continue to do passion projects when we see windows while also operating a sustainable channel where we can pay our editors, staff, and rent a full studio. We are open to ideas just so long as we can pay the editors for their considerable efforts.

Whether you enjoy the game or not, you still functionally agreed it’s not a game you’d normally play in the channel due to popularity and what that means financially. You play 40k partly because it pays the bills you created yourselves by making a KZbin channel your job. Making most videos 40k creates a cycle where players think that’s the only game out there people play, so it becomes the only game most people play. I still don’t see I’m wrong about anything I wrote, except my take you weren’t into the game. You still only show it when paid by the company. I said that’s sad for the game, and it is sad.

I can only present what is our own thoughts on the matter. I can believe that doing something, is better than doing nothing at all. I can believe that employing a roster of incredibly dedicated and skilled editors and providing them a livelihood is a good thing. And, I can believe that we are part of the solution more so than part of the problem. I will say that I am dismayed at your perspective that we (Play On) "create a cycle where players think that's the only game out there people play, so it becomes the only game most people play". Warhammer 40k had arguably the largest gaming community in the world for this genre of games before this channel existed. It is popular in its own right helped by a big player base making it easy to find a player to play with, and accessibility is incredibly important for the stability and growth of a game. Are we part of the cycle? Perhaps. But, I would like to give gamers some credit in that they can choose for themselves what fun they want to have for themselves. Can Conquest: Last Argument of Kings grow? Yes, yes it can. Like all things, it is going to take work and it is going to take time. Lastly, as someone who is invested enough to present your feelings on the matter. I would like to ask. What would you like us to do?
