Conquest Step 25: Shoot Ryoma with Marth's Glock

I will be playing an Ironman challenge run of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest on Lunatic Difficulty. This'll be pretty rough. I'll start from chapter 1 and try to proceed to the end of the game.
I won't be using DLC, though I will allow amiibos and other things like it, as long as it's not from the Dragon's Gate menu. I won't be hiring outside units from other players, either.
In Ironman runs, I am not allowed to reset the game, use savepoints, or save states. Each action or occurrence is as a result, permanent. Any characters that die will remain dead for the rest of the run, and if I lose the game, the run is over.
If I fail the run and need to restart, I will begin at the Branch of Fate, meaning I will not need to replay chapters 1-6. This is mostly because the earlier chapters aren't really part of the Conquest route.

The reason why Marth’s glock didn’t outright kill ryoma is because he wasn’t a friend and thus not quite as replacable as usual.

In this particular case, leaving Ryoma alive is way more horrible than killing him. You've ruined his country and he's burned his own home down in the assumption that this battle will be the last. Man is practically craving death and Corn just won't deliver. the more I think about Garonblob, the more I realize that doing this is kinda pointless. "Yay, we proved Garon is evil... something easily proven by his disregard for human life....and 80% of hoshido is ravaged on his orders..." Haven't we killed prior fe antagonists for lesser crimes?

You have to give Zola credit, maybe he was just trying to get a statue of himself or something but they could have cut through most if not all of the “slowly and meticulously conquer through Hoshido” part of the game if they had gone along with his plan

@@CGFillertext The more I think about it, Zola's plan kind of made sense. The only knock against him is that capturing the Hoshidans in Izumo would violate Izumo's neutrality. They were already treading on very risky waters with Zola's actions. Then again, violating neutrality isn't exactly something that some countries care about. The political fallback from violating Izumo's neutrality may be worth it if it conquers Hoshido with less bloodshed.

From what I can tell, Corrin themself actually points out that it would be more cruel to leave Ryoma alive, but Garon just doesn't care.

@@athath2010 Yeah, it's definitely the angle he's selling to Garon. It's just sad when you realize that in Corrin's bid to save Ryoma's life and get Garon on the chair first, he's also saying Ryoma should suffer more without realizing what that actually entails. He'd be doing the more just thing to get his hands dirty this time.

Death by electrocution via a lightning bolt delivering 30 thousand amps of current at 300 million volts is probably very different than the 10 amps/2,000 volts used in a typical electric chair. The sword is probably less painful, and definitely results in less charred flesh
