Every game Jeremy 's involved in is a masterclass in movement and mobility. He has always shown how fundamental it is to master the movement phase.

it doesnt hurt to have fight 10 with each strike and the ents rolling 4 high in any combat either.
@shishisei2 жыл бұрын
@@Jewus19 that's true. It was a massive gamble he had to make. Still, he did manage to lure the ent into a bottleneck and trap them, getting a lot more than their 3 dice to win the fight. It got to a 50/50, but that's the best that could be achieved against monster, with neither magic or high fight heroes of your own
@nhattuyenvodieu31032 жыл бұрын
@@Jewus19 I mean you are not wrong, but I don't think it is the way to look at the game. The question is if Dale missed out on anything important and made a mistake on the most important duel roll and that was imho the fight against treebeard. They had their dice maximized, double striked for safety and trapping. Yes in the roll of he was lucky, but that's just dice. If it went the other way round the ents would have won the game possibly. But the odds couldn't be manipulated much more for Dale as they already were. in theory the ents could have, but that would probably be hard to achieve though so I don't blame PJ.

Outstanding batrep once again by conquest creations. These 2h batrep content creators could learn a lot from Jacob’s efficiency. The whole batrep I was thinking “how on earth can Jeremy win this?”. Flabbergasted by the fact he engineered the combat to take place in the one part of the board in which he stood a chance. Bravo.

Great game guys! Love the Ents! Oof, rough combat with Treebeard. Hard to know from the camera angle, but I think a hurl from quickbeam was the play. If it had been angled to clip any of the dudes in combat with treebeard he would have been safe for that turn.
@Anonanonanon1632 жыл бұрын
The camera doesn’t show it. But Jeremy put models to the rear of quick beam and no models in base contact in the direction of the treebeard combat. Jeremy also had priority. So if quickbeam heroic combatted into any models near the treebeard combat, he would have chosen the treebeard combat to go first. It was an absolute masterclass in movement from Jeremy.
@rileyallen3102 жыл бұрын
@@Anonanonanon163 Nice, thought that might be the case, but hard to tell on camera 👍

I think if he heroic combats the turn before and throws treebeard and the other ent into the lines he could get off a hurl and really mess things up

Very enjoyable to watch as always! Jeremy is such an amazing player. I always enjoy watching him in this competitive style. Sadly the game was done for with that single fight. I think there might be a mistake on the Dale List on the website. It appears that there are 2 banners on the army which would mean that the list would be over 500 points (536 I think). On the battlefield there was only one though. Waiting for the next games! Cheers!

SPOILERS:: 1. When ents were fighting at the beginning, 1 ent vs 2 dale with traps. Is it worth it to barge into the two "flanking" instead of rending? 2 kill is more than 1 after all ;) 2. When treebeard died: Was quickbeen able to throw his opponent into the combat? did not see the angle well. He used two strikes but he could not kill anything when everyone is prone. 3. Again next turn BARGE into Brain or dain (the target, dont know his name) 4. Threeeard could use just a heroic defence. 5. Was he really trap tho? Couse this hedge is no barrier for him. 2. no he could not, see it just on replay. A lot of question couse I always find yours battle reports as most competitive and informative. Love to watch them, cannot wait for the next fight!

Treebeard didn’t look that trapped?
@mr.bandito16352 жыл бұрын
Agreed. He was "trapped" because his base wouldn't fit flat due to the hedge......but since the hedge was below Treebeard's knees seems kinda iffy. I also don't like how you can trap an ent with 3 normal sized infantry positioned correctly. But them's the rules.
@finnbruton72742 жыл бұрын
@@mr.bandito1635 for sure. The ents slow speed just means they always seem to be easy pickings fit traps. I think there should be a ‘trample’ roll. 4+ and they trample a trapping enemy or low object as they move away from a fight, preventing trapping.

Yuup, the all in that one player does in this match was probably the best bet, which is basically a coin flip. Lucky enough courage rolls went throw to give the quantity of dice needed to win... Or get coup de graced. Not to mention overextending to allow the wrapping be possible. Trap wins games! 😄

@shishisei2 жыл бұрын
It's the same with most monster list. Ents, however, have the added bonus of being immune to immobilize and compel. And, while Jeremy proved himself to be an amazing player, if that roll off against treebeard had gone the other way the game would have had a whole different outcome

at 17:00 cant treebeard back away into the fence ? because he is so big I think we can stand on terrain
@thgsMASK2 жыл бұрын
You cannot place a model where the base does not lay flat on a terrain feature or the floor and also you only back away one inch, and the large base means one inch isn't enough for the model to clear the hedge.

Amazing battle report (as ever, when Jeremy is involved)! Keep them coming Just a question (that would not have impacted the game): should not the Ents have been broken only when one model was left for them? I think one Hobbit being alive still counts as a model, and them starting with 3 models on the board means they are not broken until there is only one left. Am I correct or missing something? Again, this would not have impacted the game, just for clarity
@joshmortimer38312 жыл бұрын
I think its because there were 5 models starting on the board: 3x Ents and 2x hobbits, so when there was 1x Ent and 1x hobbit left they were broken. but if i am wrong let me know

Really? Assassination against three monsters with might? I completely disagree, dale had to put the hero they had to protect on the front line to call a strike whereas the fangorn player did not need to. That alone is a huge advantage. Let alone the ability to barge, call combats etc.
