Fantastic as always Jack! Big blue + black diamonds = heaven. Since this is my territory hear are some fun facts: 1:50 empties ready to head down the SWP to either Dunbar or Bullskin loadouts. Both gone now. 4:20 the Kistler Road grade crossing was closed in 2008(?) after my friends brother was struck and killed there. 7:00 this siding was used by the quarry up on the mountain to load ballast and rip rap. 10:00 the 4th St bridge in North Irwin was removed summer of 2023.

LOTS of neat history woods. More than likely Bullskin loads. They were loading hot and heavy back then. Remember the track? It was so bad, I think they derailed a train every time they went down there.

That's a little before my time. I was 10 when this video was made! I remember seeing the remains of the stacker when I started truckin behind what is now rural king. And the old line down to the edge of c-ville is still a mess.

Funny how common place this was for many years watching Conrail !! 👍 Now I'm sure most of us Older Railfans wish we could go back to these days instead of "endless" Wide-Cab Computers which are on CSX/NS and the other Big Roads !!! 🤔 I enjoy all your videos of more interesting Diesels since the 1950s to early 90s Jack !!

Thank you ronnie. We took so much for granted back then, and never anticipated so many drastic changes. Even the coal industry. Whats left of coal trains run the Conemaugh and stay off the mainline until Conpit. DPU's, double length trains, boring black wide cab locomotives. At least we have these clips to look back on, and REALLY appreciate the old days. Thanks for watching...

@@1jackdk We sure did Jack and your right. I'm glad I did my Railfanning from the mid 70s to the 1990s mostly from Maine to Pennsylvania with the B&M my home Rails in the Boston area growing up, then I moved to Exeter, NH in 1993' just off the Mainline 70 ft away with all the Diesel Variety at the Start of the Guilford era to Pan Am so I saw "Everything' going b which was great !! But as I said in the past it's just CSX Wide cabs now sadly but the Guil/Pan Am guys like their older EMD SD40-2, GP40-2, GP38-2's so CSX (Thankfully) runs a good amount of them through NH & ME so at least we get to see some older units up here and so fare CSX has Not painted over any of the many Pan Am & Guilford units still running about 50 plus total of C40-8/ B40-8/ (4) SD40-2m/ GP40/ GP40-2W why they last !!

I would try to grab every non-CSX unit you can. We bought our home in SW PA about 1988. Track #1 is 23 feet from our front porch. Chessie and the tail end of caboose era passes. Between 50- 60 trains a day pass the house in 24 hours. Today! Nothing but wide cabs, down to MAYBE 30 a day. Big time loss of coal traffic, and trains doubled up, Most of the time, I don't even look out the window any more. We host the Railstream LLC Hog Pen Camera here about 8 years now. Still nice to sit on the front porch and watch traffic pass. But sure isn't the same. www.flickr.com/photos/jackdk/27685521226/in/photolist-JbtwUS . @@ronniefarnsworth6465

@@1jackdk Man I hear you with how things have changed so much !! One of the nice things that New England had was would could watch maybe to majors (CR/ Guil) (PC/ B&M mid 70s) around Springfield & East Deerfield,MA then drive up the Conn River a bit to Brattleboro and watch the CV switch out the town then drive north to White River Jct and again see the CV, B&M (Guil) and CP with many freights and locals and also Alcos then drive back down fallow the main to Gardner,Ma where pushers would end up or added to ED, the PW Providence & Worcester freight would interchange with Guilford the drive to Worcester, MA with Freights along the way and watch the PW and CR action and then back up to the Lawrance B&M yard watch the Local action and switching with mainline freights dropping off and back home to Exeter NH. !! This I did countless Saturdays with different Rail friends sadly most are gone pasded away or moved and most all those Railroads are gone or changed, Industry gone and mergers etc it's all very sad. Luckily I started early Railfanning with my older brother in 1972' I was 13 I think and was hooks and drove the wheels of many cars since I was 17 Lol. I'm 65' now with may injuries from my jbs, sports and Motorcycle Racing for years also and have been "Officially Disabled" with Back, Neck, Ankle and Knee injuries with 7 surgeries and so many Epidural shots I've lost count Lol. So I don't walk great and the Blown disks in the lower back are the worst now, I need another surgery next year and 6 months to recover !! So I just stay home now. But I'm glad I got out when I did hundreds of times. Well just some background Jack. It's okay I catch up on many Rail books and hobbies, moune is of course tight especially these last 3 years !!!!!!! But I enjoy the many videos !! 👍 As Long as the Delaware Lackawanna RR and Alcos still keep it going I'm happy !! Lol

YES!!! That's right parf! I couldn't find my notes, and two trains filmed before that one where at Lewistown station. So I just took a guess that it had to be near. Thanks for that.
