Jasmine I disagree. The crime in charlotte is very minimal . Please go to Atlanta for a few weeks . The news is Sad. The traffic isn't bad at all. 485 doesn't have much traffic only 77 close to Uptown and some on 85 close to Graham and some ond Brookshire. I agree with the cost of living is ridiculous. Trust me I live in both city. And last, dating is the same everywhere it's sucks. The social seen is small for a large city its weird. Almost million ppl and you run into the same ppl lol

There's "traffic" in Charlotte and going towards SC 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 CLT has opened up a lot of lanes and the traffic isn't horrible if you know where to go, and there are still a lot of people working from home. The crime in CLT is only concentrated in certain areas, but a lot of those areas are being gentrified 💯💯💯💯

I’m moving to Charlotte in the summer. Apartments are more than I assumed but I want something safe and nice, So I don’t mind. I’m from NYC where I pay a pretty penny for my place. Therefore, I’m okay with paying $1,500-$1,800 for a 1 bedroom. That’s a big decrease in rent for me.

No, you are not cheap. The housing cost has definitely gone up. The market is equivalent to where most Northers are migrating from.

Charlotte is expensive due to what jobs are paying people. The jobs don’t pay that enough. Which makes the cost of living high.

Mmm... don't agree with the high crime rate. I'm not saying crime isn't an issue but as an Atl Native I don't agree. Housing has gone up tremendously. 10 years ago new apartments uptown were going for under 1k. Where in the world do you live where you have an apt for under 1k lol Charlotte is excellent for young black professionals and there are plenty of high paying jobs if you get on with the banking, tech or Sports companies. Dating..... you were spot on with that.

Yes, the dating scene is difficult here in Charlotte for some reason especially when you first arrive. Definitely see the same people out and about.

Ure right. The job salaries offered here versus housing costs doesn’t add up. Dating is trash here as well and yes the crime/gun violence is def an issue as well as sexism and racism

@S B where are yall that yall are experiencing racism? Not a ton of us where I live and I haven't had any issues. Heck I've lived in multiple parts of the city off and on for a combined 8 years with no issue. Not saying it doesn't exist because they were notorious for it back in the Epic Centers hay day

That's one of the reasons I did not move to Charlotte I heard about the crime. I believe you because a young lady I know said the crime is bad in Charlotte but she stays to herself. I moved from Durham to another city. Although I love Durham there is a high crime rate there too. So, I don't want to move from one bad city to the next.

Yes. I work in the criminal justice field and see everything firsthand. The juveniles here commit a lot of crimes.

Rent is the same here in south carolina and it not as big or entertaining as charlotte and the jobs and pay here suck unless you work for BMW which also sucks... love your content❤
