Best explanation on why to consecrate to our Blessed Mother. I was so confused, trying to understandwhy I would do this, trying to understand this slavery status that St. Louis de Montfort speaks of. confessed my doubts to proceed with consecration as sin in hope to get some light or spiritual direction, it was a dry confession. But God is so gentle , my consecration was to be that afternoon , so I clicked on this talk and it is so clear. I surrendered to a current trial and understood my pain better. I am comforted and strengthen to “stand”by His grace through our Blessed Mother that spoke to me through this talk if it makes sense. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Realistic talk about how to live for the glory of God. Sufferings experienced here are for us to offer it to God for His glory. Faithful in misery is ok- because it conforms us . Perfects us . Blessed be God forever

29:45 In my opinion, going through some natural difficulties that builds on natural virtues: Losing weight, exercise, media timeouts, hard work, difficult projects, etc. aids you w/ spiritual toughness. We are body AND soul--> integrated human beings. Physical softness and effeminacy is directly related to spiritual wimpyness. This is important especially for men. Show me a man who is working on improving his 1 mile run time and you have a candidate for spiritual discipline as well. The Holy Family proves this: St. Joseph was a day laborer who literally made a living by his blood, sweat, and tears.

Kevin I’ve been listening to a pod cast called bible study evangelists show with Sonja Corbitt. Your comment are similar to the series she’s talking about. You might want to take a listen to help sort your thoughts. God bless

Praying for you, Friar Anthony! You sound like maybe you’re getting sick? I love your talks. Thank you, for going through the effort to put these lessons out to the rest of us lay people :) May God bless you & may He take care of all your spiritual & temporal needs, & for all the 3rd Order Franciscans, too.

Good talk father, all sounds really good. but even if i have mixed motives(being in no small part FOR myself, and in some ways being FOR her), should i still do the consecration? It's not really the case that you have to be perfect before you do the consecration, otherwise no one would do it, right?

Don’t know if you found out by now. But here are some book recommendations “33 days to Morning Glory” “St Louis de Monfront Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary” or “Preparation for Total Consecration to the Immaculate according to St Maximillian Kolbe” these are a couple consecration books I know. All are 33 days of preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. :) and u can buy a beautiful consecration ring, chain, or necklace as an outward sign of your consecration.

I think he’s talking about your walk in life. That moment when you are tested. In the Bible 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race I have stayed the course and remained faithful… hope this helps. God bless you

This priest doesn’t seem to have much compassion for human frailty. I was hoping he’d explain the consecration to our Blessed Mother but instead his talk came across to me that he has a sarcastic, judgmental and hostile view of human weakness. This was not an inspiring and educational talk for me. And in case this priest happens to see my comment I NEVER blame God.

The virtue of humility is necessary in all things, and is for us to practice in imitation of the Blessed Mother. Since we click to listen, the need to exercise humility and charity falls on us. Usually when people get angry st what they hear, their conscience is pricked. Charity towards Friar means to accept that his instruction comes from a true desire to correct, lead and clarify information to others for the benefit and salvation of souls. His presentation is more black and white than others, but take the info you receive with gratitude and assume the best of intentions on his part. Friar may not be your cup of tea.

He’s frustrated perhaps, with humanity in general. Listen to some of his other talks. They’re wonderful! He’s always going to be blunt in his teachings, but this talk was a bit edgy. We must pray for him & the Order. We’re ALL being fiercely attacked in these days of trial & suffering. Even Jesus got frustrated with His chosen people like the money changers on the Sabbath day. He got right after them!

Please lose that very creepy eerie nonedifying intro. “Singing”. “Wooowing”. Really detracts from your magnificent, learned, and inspired talks, dearest Friar!
