This Is a good new system than conventional cropping nice sulution and congratulation to all the researchers of this practice they should know the system of the ancient way of farming. The best method of farming also is they should know the acidity level of there soil so that they can cure the soil also in the right plant, and most there farm if they used in the slope area It must be planted a tree in the higher part of the Land atleast a hectars of trees so that It sustain a balance of nutrients and acidity and flow of watar in the area. Used plant to cure the soil rather than fertilizer and chemicals.

I see those slopes and think they should be terraced which could be achieved with vetiver grass. My concern would be large rainfall events.
@halyoung388
@halyoung388 6 жыл бұрын
That is why ensuring NVS (Native Vegetative Strip) on contour as well as minimal or no plowing and ground covers to keep all soil covered reduces erosion tremendously. Down to 2-6% from has high as 350% when plowing against the contour. NVS will over time result in terraces anyway.

Vertical is not a long term solution if you use fossil fuel. But if we would recycle 100 % of our human activities and residue...including recycling our own dejection afyer proper treatment then yes and yes

"Conservation Agriculture" is not a new idea. It seems to be a spin off from Permaculture. Permaculture has been going on for many years and has a lot of re-searchable history. I think Permaculture can add a lot of valuable knowledge and research to your projects.

Good day! My group mates and I are wondering if we could use some footage from your video for our school project about Philippine farmers. Don't worry, we'll be putting credits on the video itself. I'm not sure if the video will be posted online though I think it won't. The video is quite old so I'm hoping that I'd still get a response. Sorry to rush, but I hope to get a response by Wednesday. Thank you so much! Have a good day!:)

TO BE HONEST I DON'T RECOMMEND THESE KIND OF METHOD . YES IT HELPS THE SOIL TO BE FERTILE AND DECREASE THE EFFECT TO THE SOIL IF YOU USE THESE METHODS, BUT AS YOU CAN SEE THE GROWTH OF THE CORN AND RICE IS NOT GOOD.THE GROWTH OF THE PLANT WILL BE DIFFERENT IF YOU ARE USING ABUNO(THE CHEMICAL FERTILIZER) AND MAKES A LOT BETER GROWTH OF THE PLANT .IT IS HAZARDOUS TO THE SOIL BUT THERE ARE ALSO ALTERNATIVES AND METHOD TO HELP THE SOIL HEAL ITSELF. I KNOW THAT THERE IS AN EFFECT TO THE SOIL IF WE USE CHEMICAL FERTILIZER. I WILL SET AN EXAMPLE. IF WE PLANT CORN THAT COULD TAKE UP UNTIL 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE HARVEST TIME AND YES TIME CONSUMING . IF WE MANAGE TO GET 2 CROPS PER YEAR WHICH IS EQUIVALENT TO 6 MONTHS THERE WILL BE 6MONTHS LEFT THEN FROM FEBRUARY TO APRIL IS SUMMER AND SOMETIMES IT EXTEND TO MAY UP UNIL JUNE THAT COULD TAKE UP 5 MONTHS . WHY I INTRODUCE THE 2 CROPS PER YEAR IS SIMPLY BECAUSE THE REST OF 6 MONTH THE SOIL WILL REPLENISH AND HEAL ITSELF NOT ENOUGH BUT THE SOIL CAN DO THAT . ALSO WITH THE HELP OF PLANTING MONGGO DURING SUMMER,MONGGO WILL HELP THE SOIL HEAL AND THE RESIDUE OF YOUR CROPINGS IF NOT BURNED WILL HELP THE SOIL TO REGROWTH. I WILL ALSO MENTION THAT THE SOIL WILL NOT BE FULLY HEAL BECAUSE JUST LIKE OUR ILLNESS THIS WILL NOT BE EASILY BE TREATED . I AM JUST SAYING THE REMEDIES IF WE ARE USING CHEMICAL FERTILIZER. MY FATHER IS A FARMY AND SO IS MY FAMILY BEFORE HIM, WE HAVE BEEN USING CHEMICAL FERTILIZER EVER SINCE AND WE HAVE BEEN PLANTING OUR CROPS IN THE SAME LOT AREA AND AS YEAR GOES BY THE SOIL DIDNT AFFECT OUR CROPPINGS OR OUR HARVEST . WHAT ONLY AFFECT OUR CROPPINGS IS THE SEASON . MSTLY WE PLANT OUR CROPS DURING RAINY SEASON AND RAIN AND AIR IS MUCH MORE DISASTROUS THAN THOSE CHEMICAL FERTILIZER . OMG I AM ONLY HERE FOR OUR ACTIVITY WHY I MAKE SO MUCH FUSS ABOUT THIS. HOPEFULLY MY TEACHER IS NOT READING COMMENTS .
