Conservation of Energy - Best demonstration Ever !!

Professor walter lewin demonstrates the law of conservation of energy using a swinging pendulum bob.
If the pendulum is released with zero speed, it can never rise above the initial point of release since that would imply free energy.

The total energy can't exceed, due to which the amplitude remains same(in fact, the amplitude reduces by a small amount due to air resistance)
