For the second problem, there is a much simpler way that doesn't require any extra constants like R or specific volume. First find the change in volume from initial to final (Subtracting the volume of sphere with diameter of 5 from the volume of sphere with diameter of 15). Then find the volume flow rate by multiplying velocity by area of cross section. Finally divide the delta V( volume ) you got earlier by the volume flow rate you just calculated to get time in seconds. You will get the same answer (12 minute)

You can solve these problems in so many different ways, I just showcase a single method. Students should use whatever method they want that gives them the correct answer in a timely manner :)

It gives you a very wonderful explanation but if you can give us the explanation of the video in the pdf file I will be thankful to you I am an Arab who used the translator in order to understand or this takes me longer Thank you ❤❤

Unfortunately, I don't have pdf files for videos. Please refer to your textbooks and course notes for the relevant sections. These videos are only meant as a supplementary tool for your class notes. Almost all the videos being uploaded now have closed captioning, so auto translate should do a reasonably good job as well. :)

In the balloon question, since the properties of the gas in the balloon and the gas we use to fill the balloon are same, we can solve the question by just using volumetric flow rate right?. (Final volume of balloon - initial volume)/ volumetric flow rate will give the correct answer.

A lot of these questions can be done in a multitude of ways and you'll get the correct answer 👍 I just show case a specific method that pertains to the topic of interest. So yes, you can do it that way, and a few other ways too.

Hi sir, at 8:55 I tried to get the same answer but only substituting density with m/V. I get the answer of 3.36 only when I use the total mass of 2521.76kg. However, I don’t understand why the mass we use is not the change in mass. If you could please clear up my confusion I would appreciate it :)
@QuestionSolutions
@QuestionSolutions 7 ай бұрын
Please give me all the values you used. I am unsure of what m, V and other values you used to get 3.36, only that you used total mass. Thank you :)
@leenaa5511
@leenaa5511 7 ай бұрын
Of course, Mass flow rate = (m2/V2) * Vav * Acr =(2521.76 kg/(1/6pi*15^3)m^3) * (3 m/s) * (pi/4 m^2)) = 3.36 kg /s My difference in mass was : =m2-m1 =2521.76 - 93.398 = 2428.362 kg (but this mass didn’t give me 3.36). Hope I wrote it clearly!
