if PV and U are part of "e" what is KE? And for the house problem why don't you need the specific heat for air at 5 degrees for (T1)?

If you wanted to be extra accurate, you can take the average of the two temperatures and use a cp value that's at that temperature. But generally, the difference is so small when the temperatures are so close together (5 and 25), it's negligible and you can use the higher temperature value to get a cp value. KE is just kinetic energy. "ke" is written per unit mass, and "KE" is kinetic energy without it being per unit mass.

I have a question regarding the last example, how do you know that massflow in is the same as massflow out? Great videos btw!

I cover more on that topic in the next video, but compressors are considered steady flow devices. If it has one opening and one exit, then the amount of mass flow entering will be equal to the amount of mass flow exiting. 👍
