@@Raincloud_. They don't agree with the people they hate though. What they do is project how they see the world onto the people they hate but in reverse. They love to force their thoughts and beliefs on kids with little to no concern for the childs autonomy and call it parental rights. They're the ones who don't respect what a child thinks or feels so sends them to things like gay conversion camp, or say that kids aren't allowed to learn sex education, or evolution so that the kids don't come in contact with beliefs that contradict their own. So they assume pro-trans people must be the same way and are just indoctrinating kids into their belief cause they can't comprehend someone actually caring about the childs perspective and autonomy as being important as they see children as extensions of themself.

I like how the comic implies that black people NEVER uses guns for self defense or personal protection but white people on the other hand does. Marissa Alexander was a black woman who served 20 years in prison for firing a warning shot at her abusive ex husband who violated the protective order she had against him by showing up at her home. Then there's Kyle Rittenhouse (17 white) who killed two people and mutilated a third because he wanted to police protesters in a residential area he didn't even live in and got off scot-free! So there's DEFINITELY a racial biase when it comes to gun ownership and race

Toys and colors get so gender stereotyped. I had to walk away at work just 2 weeks ago because a little boy was wanting to play with a helmet that was "too girly" for him. The kid I used to babysit used to play with my baton that I had and wanted one for himself, but his dad thought that was too girly for him to play with. Another time at my job, years ago, a teen mom refused to buy her son a bubble and with a dinosaur head that was a coral pink color because "my son isn't playing with a gay color." So this first one alone is ridiculously ironic and hypocritical.

@jasonpickles2576 I'm going to assume you're not deliberately misunderstanding and that you're genuinely asking. Of course laws should apply to children. Especially to protect children. But laws shouldn't restrict children's self-expression. The government should stay out of that, just like you said. Having a law that says "ban child transition" is the government meddling in the affairs of your child. Your child should be free to explore who they are with no interference. Having no law, or a law that states "children are allowed to express themselves how they want and deserve the support they need and desire to do so" is the government expressly NOT meddling in the affairs of your child. Your point about suicides by firearm is really important! Even a lot of conservative organizations that advocate for military veterans have started pushing for gun locks bc data shows even the small delay of having to enter the padlock code to use your gun is enough to significantly increase the chance that the would-be victim hesitates and reaches out for help instead. 1:35 The irony is so funny. The truth is that "then" when a cis girl acted masculine they would make fun of you by calling you a boy. Meanwhile, "now" people won't care because they're just toys.
@audreydoyle5268
@audreydoyle5268 25 күн бұрын
And they call boys "gay" for playing with dolls. They think because a child might play with a gender stereotyped toy, then because they hold the belief a toy alone holds symbolism or a sign to feelings about secuality or orientation, that we must believe the same thing. That a female child playing with a truck must mean we think they should become a boy. My roommate has a niece who socially transitioned, and he thinks that her parents forced it on her because "all she has to play with are dolls, they didn't give him, uh her? the chance to play with boy's toys,". I asked him "are you sure they didn't give _her_ the chance to play with toys associated with boys?". "No, I don't, I don't know...". He later admitted that she had always expressed and acted like a girl, wanting her hair long, nails did, acting dainty and graceful. And of course, girls don't have to act that way, but I asked him "did she ever show interest in "boy's toys" or clothes, or watch boyish shows?", "No, because they don't let her,". I called bull on that, I said "it doesn't sound like they force her. It sounds like you've only seen her play and watch things she likes, and assumed that's all they expose her to. She could very well have expressed no interest in boy stuff. And besides, I used to like boy things, I even thought I might be a trans guy, but I'm non-binary, so to me, it never mattered what I wore or watched or played with, but to your niece, she might have gotten upset being made to act like a boy when you weren't around. Of course you wouldn't have been there to see her dysphoric, cause they already sorted it out and figured out her likes and dislikes,". The kid is like 3 or 4, at that age, trans girls know what they like, and they are adamant about it. So are trans boys, but of course, not everyone has an accepting family. It's sad to see regressive people believe parents force gender stereotypes on their kids, when really, those kids are so lucky to have such an open, accepting family, for the most part.

You forgot one important point about illegal guns. All illegal guns have been purchased legally in the first place. Every gun that is owned illegaly has been sold legaly to their first owner and then was stolen/sold/trafficed to someone else who had not the legal right to own that gun. Do you know where most illegal guns in mexico Come from? Good old USA, if the US would crack down on gun ownership, not only would gun violence in the USA go down, but in Mexico too. Since Australia tightened their gun laws, most criminals no longer can afford their own firearm.

Also A lot of illegal guns are manufactured instead of being bought in the first place as its possible to do on minimum wage. Also a little about me, im a trans woman living in the middle of the woods with bobcats and bears and all sorts of other wild life i couldnt go outside for a walk without a gun if i dont want to risk being Mauled as the Bobcats in the area are fine attacking humans.

Bisexual is when, out of a variety pack, you have two favourite flavors. It doesn't matter which two, you just like two flavors. Omnisexual is when you like most of the flavors; like four or five. You like a handful of flavors, but *_not_* all of them. Pansexual is enjoying all of the flavors in the variety pack, no discrimination. Every flavor is tasty to you. However they're the ones who will use a child's gender to determine what toy to give them or the ones who see a boy playing with a tea set & try to force him to play with cars or other "toys for boys" or a girl playing with dinosaurs & try to force her to play with a fake kitchen or other "toys for girls" all because they're scared their might grow up to be not cis & straight even though the clothes someone wears, the toys they played with as a child, or their interests does not determine a person's gender identity or sexuality

They worry about trans in womens bathrooms cause they know they'd s/a a woman in a heartbeat if they could get away with it. They worry about indoctrinating kids into being trans because they indoctrinate their own kids with their worldview so assume everyone else must be doing the same. They project their own bigoted view of black people as being inherently dangerous and scary as being a thing the left knows about but are just hiding. To understand how a conservative thinks all you have to do is look at whatever they accuse the left of doing, and they're likely the ones actually doing that thing.

My mum was one of the “then” mothers allowing me to play with any toy I liked (I had Barbies and animal care toys as well a toy vehicles and power rangers.) I suspect there were plenty of people in the world decades ago who didn’t restrict what their kids interacted with, but people can’t seem to understand that a child will develop however they are meant to without it being forced on them.

The last one is really sticking in my mind, especially since it's just as likely to cause the opposite. How many times on social media has someone bodyshamed someone working out- something that shouldn't happen yet still does. If someone is already anxious about how they look, it just makes it even less likely that they'll end up doing something about it- even if they really want to

I think it sucks how people are disrespecting losing weight, it’s awesome how willing people are able to work on themselves. The problem is the extreme on either side. You shouldn’t be disrespecting somebody for wanting to work healthily on themselves

Nobody is discouraging losing weight?? The whole point that she was trying to make is that when people demonize fatness they aren't doing so out of a concern for the fat person's health- at least not truly- they're mainly doing so because they don't fit the aesthetic ideal they have in thier minds. Like even in medical situations, so often fat people's legitimate medical problems that are not related to thier weight are ignored by doctors and are just told to just lose weight. Plus, like showing fat people without making them the butt of the joke or demonizing them isn't discouraging people from losing weight.

My dad did a lot of shitty things but one thing he got right was letting his kids play with whatever toys we wanted. My sister and I had toy cars and trucks and my brother loved baby dolls as a little kid. When my uncles or grandpa would say shit about my brother playing with dolls my dad would say “so dads can’t nurture their kids like moms do? He’s playing being a good dad”

I love how we keep my niece with a healthy amount of variety! Mostly dinosaurs! We're not a huge fan of pink in my family so we mainly get pretty neutral colors unless the pink outfit is REALLY cute 😂 Edit: Actually, there IS a book in middle schools that definitely should be banned. I can't remember the name but the book literally talks about self pleasure and......yea no. That's like for high school level.

One of my nieces is going to grow up surrounded by Lego and dinosaurs cos her dad loves them both, and I recently won a stuffed stegosaurus in a raffle (he’s called Benoit and he’s so soft) and he’s very popular with both my nieces. Though the eldest one was upset at Paddington cos his wellies weren’t yellow like hers.

My mother was a terf, and she used to present very masculine and also tell trans men that they were just tomboy lesbians who had been groomed into being trans. She would claim anything feminine was forcing women to conform, and she would push it to the point where I was literally not allowed to wear dresses or play with dolls when I was a girl. Anyways, ended up being a feminine trans man lol

The whole debate around guns is so stupid. Every single argument against gun control can be countered by like five counterpoints. “But bad people will still have them!” as qiwi already said, it’s still gonna be difficult, and not every little street gangster will have one. Also, if someone is randomly caught with one, at say, traffic stop, boom, confiscated, no more gun. Also makes them more of a valuable commodity and easier to track, because there’s only so many ways to get them and so many even going around. So the incentive to not use them, as to not waste them and to stay inconspicuous still rises. And so many gun deaths are just blatant accidents or because people don’t know how to properly use them, have knee jerk reactions. That all goes away. Killing someone in the heath of the moment is soooooo much easier with a gun, than with say a knife. Also there’s more of a chance to defend yourself unarmed from any form of attack than with a gun (not to say it’s easy, but defending yourself from a gun is outright impossible, while with other weapons, while slim, there is a chance). In the end, as usual, it just comes down to money, as it is a huge industry. And yeah, if you genuinely think shooting is just fun as a sport, guess what, you can still do that in most countries. And it’s not even that difficult. There’s just some reasonable rules around it, like locking weapons in a weapons cabinet. But muh freedom!

The funny thing is that the main source of guns for criminals is guns that were legally bought but illegally sold second hand or guns that were stolen from a legal gun owner. If you heavily restrict guns, criminals can't get them because they obviously wouldn't meet the legal criteria to get one legally, and a lot less people would have guns to steal from. Like, criminals would literally have less guns if there weren't so many guns everywhere. Even if criminals still managed to get guns, it will only be higher level criminals because the lack of supply means that it will be so astronomically expensive to buy a gun that most street-level criminals won't have one. Organized crime might still get them, but some dude robbing a liquor store won't.

There was a group of friends (males and females) in my class just the other day discussing that men themselves don’t even know what 120 lbs is! They look at someone who’s skinny and think “they must weigh less”. I’m far taller than the girl they were discussing it with, and we have similar body types (except I’m slightly larger because I’ve finally stopped starving myself), and they guessed she was easily 110, but she said that she was 130. My parents have a near obsession with their figure. They do diets and exercise until they can’t anymore and questions why they gain weight afterwards, even if their weight is perfectly healthy. As a kid, they would berate me for being so skinny and joking that it looked like they starved me, but if I ate my fill they would say their favorite line: “moo moo buckaroo”. Once they stopped packing me lunches I had maybe one or two snacks to keep the hunger pains back (I didn’t like the noises my stomach made when I got them), and it was only until recently that I stopped caring. If I’m hungry, I’m hungry. I eat what I feel like eating. If I want eggs, I want eggs. If I want a grilled cheese, I’ll have a grilled cheese. If I want a piece of chocolate, I’ll have a piece of chocolate. Sometimes it’s hard because my AuDHD makes me forget to eat and I don’t notice until the hunger pains kick in, but I’m doing a lot better now. It’s crazy how much warmer I am now, and how much stronger I am even though I only lightly exercise a few times a week. I’m a big person. 5’9, 150 lbs, AFAB. I’ve always been bigger than most of my peers ever since I was a kid, at least height-wise. My dad is easily over six feet and while I’m taller than my mom, she’s an absolute brick wall and a powerhouse when it comes to casual muscle strength and physique. They always try to restrict themselves, and in comparison I’ve noticed that I just seem… fuller. I’m proud of it, actually. Not to say my parents are malnourished, or that I’m bigger than them both, but I just feel glad to know that for all the years I’ve suffered from their diet culture fantasies, I’m doing better. So whenever people say fat people should “eat less” and “work out more”, it makes my blood boil. They prefer you cold, sickly-looking, and 110 lbs than healthy and your correct weight. It’s an aesthetic concern, not a health concern.

4:05 I'm a trans man who was a "tomboy" as a kid. Toys do not determine a kid's gender. I'm not a man because I was allowed to play with boy things and allowed to get boy clothes. All that would've changed if I hadn't been allowed to be a "tomboy" was that I'd have been even more miserable and traumatized than I already was. Turns out, there's a very important difference between being a tomboy and being a "tomboy". A tomboy is a girl who just so _happens_ to like things that are considered "masculine" in our society. In my case I was a "tomboy" which is a kid who didn't actually like "masculine" things, but tried desperately to like them in order to be more masculine. I encourage the kids in my orbit to do things outside of their gendered category- but I'd never force a kid to perform gender in accordance with the gender their toys or clothes have. I've _been_ pressured to perform a gender I didn't want, and I'd _never_ force that torture on anyone.
