Can you tell me what that last procedure does? As the product looks the same as before it was covered by this black tarpaulin looking sheet!

Looks like a vacuum forming process, the table extrudes the air from underneath the black rubber sheet and then natural air pressure on top of the sheet forces all the layers together to make them bond together.
