That's great! Good to have a little refresher before you dive back into a project. Best to you.

My 206rb-1 was working fine the last time I used it several months ago. Now for some reason it won't pick up the bobbin thread. I've checked that it's threaded correctly, and everything else seems normal. I tried changing the needle ( 135-17 ), the bobbin case, the bobbin, and still no luck. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? I'm using light thread, would that make a difference? By the way, your videos are extremely well done, easy to understand, and a joy to watch and learn from.

Assuming the safety clutch isn't popped ( turning handwheel wouldn't rotate hook) it could be something simple like the needle isn't inserted fully. Or if the needle is rotated incorrectly. The long groove in the needle needs to face left. Just some little things to check first, before looking at timing etc. Thanks for the kind words!

@@TheThoughtfulWoodworker It was the safety clutch. I figured it out about three minutes ago!!! The needle was in correctly. Now I remember trying to fix something very thick a while ago. That must have tripped the clutch safety. Thank you so much for your reply. I subscribed to your channel as I do word working too and your videos are excellent.

What kind of red paint do you use to mark the oil spots. Thanks
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker8 ай бұрын
I just spray some from a aerosol can into a container, then dip into the paint with an artists brush. Best of luck with it.

The needle on my 206rb1 is not centered in the hole in the walking foot. Is there a way to adjust that?
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker7 ай бұрын
Front to back there is a mechanism that can be adjusted. Side to side, no adjustment.
@billguthrie22187 ай бұрын
@@TheThoughtfulWoodworker Do you have a video showing how to make the front to back adjustment? That's what I need to do. It is too far back.
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker7 ай бұрын
@@billguthrie2218 Not a video, but I can send you a document that shows how to do it. Basically you adjust the feed dog hole, not the needle bar. If you poke around on my KZbin page you'll find my contacts. If you email me, I'll forward this scanned document. Best.

Hi I have watched several videos on threading the Consew206 rb some say to take the thread u over the pin on the top part of the tension assembly some say not to take it over the pin the way you did @ .58 in your video . Do you know the reasoning for this thanks, enjoyed your video
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker2 жыл бұрын
Hi Evelyn, I think the confusion stems from the way you thread a Pfaff industrial machine. If someone started on a Pfaff, then switched to a Consew, they might thread it incorrectly. Bottom line... Never go around the pin. It's just incorrect threading. Best

@@TheThoughtfulWoodworker Thank you for clearing that up for me My tension broke and I have ordered a new tension assembly. I have been watching videos on how to change it out
