Hi Alexander, Thank you for a nice video explaining the Consew double needle sewing machine. SimilarIy I currently have a Consew 339RB1 with a 1/4" gauge needle width. Now purchased needed online parts and received to convert to a 3/8" gauge width. Parts: 3/8 Needle Clamp, 3/8 Feed dog, 3/8 Needle Plate, and 3/8 Feet Set with center gauge guide. Thx again.

Could use your help. At section 3:04, you pointed to two screws to losen to adjust needle spacing. There seems to be more to this process, or mine us just frozen. Anyway you can elaborate how this assembly is adjusted. As a fellow sewing machine enthusiast, I enjoy all your vids. You always have great content to share. Keep up the good work!

It is not an adjustment per se. You need parts, in fact a whole set of parts. Needle clamp, feed dogs, throat plate and then comes the adjustments. It is a big job and not cheap but it happens all the time.

@@AlexanderDyer Got the parts. Figured it out. 2 set screw on big gear needed to be losen. Slight tapping did the trick, timmed hook. all is good.

I just got the machine today but can’t seem to figure out how to put the drip pan on. There’s this triangular hole in it...is there a piece that’s supposed to go In?

Alex this machine with the lubrication aspects looks superior to a Juki -LH 515 any comments ? I an trying to land a LH -515 I found near me . I have done quite a bit of sewing on standard sewing machines and really want to get a Nicer industrial machine for auto seats dashes things like that .

Great video, I'm looking at a NMD 4420 double needle machine. The seller claims its comparable or compatible the Consew 233rb /333-rb. If that's the case, can it sew 10 -15 or even 20oz duck canvas using a full flat felled seam? Also I'm a little concerned that it may be a cheap Chinese copy of the Consew's.

Should handle 1/2" thick no problem. Take a test piece and try it before you buy it.

Does this machine or another model have the capability to adjust the spacing between needles?

The spacing or guage can be adjusted. It requires parts that have to be swapped out, stuff like needle clamp, feed dogs, feet etc

Thanks for the helpful video Alex. I bought one of these used and have been struggling with re-gauging the machine. Eventually got it set up but the aftermarket parts were pretty lousy and took a fair bit of grinding to fit. Do you know where I can find OEM parts?

Hi, Have a wimsew w-0618-1 and not able to achieve 10 millimetres stitch spacing as the dials indicates. Am I reading the dial wrongly or is the machine somehow restricted? At number 10 of the dial, I am only achieving about 7 when measured.

These dials are really just relative, there are adjustments that can be made to get them closer but you will need a manual and some tools.

an improperly installed needle, not seated or backwards, wrong needle, bent needle, needle threaded from the wrong direction, hook to needle timing off, hook to needle clearance improper.
