Consolidated Crane Removes Ferris Wheel from Historic Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas (2021) (4K)

The Galaxy Wheel at Galveston's historic Pleasure Pier was disassembled and prepared for transportation to a different location to be refurbished. Consolidated Crane was called in to lift the structure of the Ferris Wheel from the support legs to then be loaded onto a truck and transported off site. Other components of the Galaxy Wheel were also removed and put on trucks for transportation.

The final drone clip was played in reverse. The waves formed from the sand and then moved out to ses. Why would the editor do that? I'm puzzled.

It was removed so that it could be refurbished. Seawater takes its toll. They need to keep everything in tip-top shape.

Sad my wife and I were the first couple to get engaged when it reopened, proposed when the wheel stopped at the top to ask if she would marry me, she said yes and it was announced over the loud speaker. I hope they keep card number 2 it's special to us.
