Consort of Spirits - Short film by Vinod Pancharath

The narrative centres around the legend of a "consort of spirits" that greatly restricted our freedom as children when the sun began to set. At dawn and dusk, these spirits were said to roam the boundless fields, and if we dared to traverse those areas alone, we risked being apprehended and taken to their lair. A similar fear gripped us when descending the steps leading to the temple pond at night, as it was believed that the spirits would manifest there, capturing anyone present. People avoided that spot, fearing the legend that spirits would commence rituals once the stone lamp's lights extinguished, and anyone who crossed their path would be terrified. Utilizing the advancements in Unreal Engine's real-time rendering and virtual production pipeline, I've endeavored to recreate these experiences while infusing my artistic interpretation into the storytelling.
