Everyone complaining about Constance being cold... I see as someone being unapologetic & wanting to discuss their craft with another person in the industry, as her equal. It really does feel as if there’s a double standard. Because she’s not falling over backwards to be charming or warm, Wu’s pegged as snobby. I could easily see a man holding himself the same way and not receiving as much flack... but rather being celebrated as respectful, reserved, and stoic. There’s also so much about the Asian American experience that I won’t even go into. I would just ask some people to reconsider their initial impressions. I have some homework to do-i.e. go watch her other interviews as people have been referencing... but overall, I loved this pairing, and Mindy was as sunny & inviting as always!

She always been like this unfortunately. It's not from the recent success that changed her, this is her actual personality. She always had a reputation of being cold and snobby, her co-stars hinted this too during their promo interviews. People were fooled and gullible to support her when she spoke up about social issues, when in reality she only cared because it will help her career. She's only looking out for herself and has basically confirmed this to be true in her interviews and her contradicting actions. Don't ask her to change cause it's too late, start supporting other Asian actress who actually deserve your support.

You know what I actually don't mind Constance's personality. As an Asian woman, there are few things that I can identify with her and some few things I aspire to be. For the longest time, Asian women are seen or portrayed as submissive, passive and has no opinions. So it's somewhat refreshing to see an assertive and opinionated Asian woman like Constance Wu. I do agree she can tone down a little. But I think in this industry where Asian actors in general are oftentimes overlooked, she probably thought being aggressive will help her survive long.

As a Black woman, I am happy to see this representation and perspective from women of color that are Indian and Asian. I think that Hollywood needs to develop more projects that feature Indian and Asian actors. In spite of the historic and contemporary discrimination against actors that are Black and or of African descent, I think there are still more Hollywood projects that have been developed featuring Black actors. It's good to see the general trend towards projects or more roles that reflect diversity. I am interested in everybody's story. I want to see more diversity period.

Yes, they are, or are considered but I believe that Indians also have their own ethnic identity and distinct cultures. Within the broad categories of race, there are so many ethnic groups. I think that many people identify simultaneously within their ethnic and broader racial category, categories which to me are subject to being redefined and probably should be. The distinction that I made was within that frame and hopefully is not offensive or inaccurate. Native American Indians have also been seriously underserved by Hollywood and that needs to be addressed as well. I don't need you to educate me.
