Fun fact, thunder warriors had no powered legs, they wore armor with powered arms, their insane strength carried the weight of 1,500lb battle plate with their real legs. They killed custodes by the hundreds with barbaric armor and weapons.

My only thing with this is, if he's been around the whole time, why in God's name did he ever allow the Imperium to basically turn into a cult? It's not like people wouldn't believe him. He was literally the left hand of the Emperor right next to Malkador, who was his right hand. So... Why would he just be like, Oh, I'm gonna hide for the next 10,000 years while I watch the Imperium turn into like some insane cult-like society? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Big E made the Astartes “Less than” the TW cuz the custodes needed to stand infinitely above them to ensure safety. TW if they had had time to prepare could have caused major damage even flat out winning against the custodes. It’s why they were killed immediately following a final major battle of compliance. Not to mention the young Dark Angels getting absolutely dunked on in that fight too. Some TW found an escape pushing straight into the DA lines where the original Battle was. 100% the Primarch of the TW was destroying custodes around him before losing to Valdor on the steps leading up to the palace gates. 5 TW on a pitched battlefield could absolutely take one down. Astartes no way no how without demons helping or like 20-30 marines. The war for Terra was the hardest fight of the crusade even though a lot came after. I’d say if it was a 5/1 ratio TW backedi Icustodes win but lose all but a quarter of their men

Im not sure how he could be anything less than a galaxy level threat with the forces at his disposal. And if he has a powerful vocabulary of Enuncia at his disposal, he would be able to stand toe-to-toe with anyone, short of gods and the Emperor.

Chill... It's just a title. That's not any part of the lore. Second Valdor is one of the most interesting characters in "new lore" and custodes are one of the most popular factions. Certainly beats the shit out of them just being space marines in aurimmite.
