Constantine never converted, since he was a high priest he held the title of Pontifix Maximus. He was the high priest of sun worship, he received baptism on his death bed. He seclerized Christianity together with the church in Rome and established pagan customs such as Sunday worship, Christmas, Eater etc.

I feel as long as we worship on God's Holy Sabbath and keep it extra special from the other days we will be doing fine, but most of all, pleasing God. 🌄
@Revelation18-45 жыл бұрын
@@zyedhez8642 We are to rest on the Sabbath. I agree. We can rest and still honor and hold Him in high esterm. I guess what I was trying to say is that on the true Sabbath is when we are to worship Him special. It isn't wrong to travel to worship God. People travelled from all over to worship Jesus and hear Him speak. If a man heals someone on the sabbath and has to travel to do it, God approves. It's in the bible. We are to do God's work on the sabbath, like healing someone, not the worlds work for our own benefits. That's the difference. Regardless, if we are resting from manual work, in effect that still is a form of worship because when we follow the 10 commandments we are honoring Him, which is also a form of worship. Look up definition of worship.
@Revelation18-45 жыл бұрын
@@zyedhez8642 God never said He didn't want to be disturbed. God is available 24/7 for His people. So is His Son Jesus. There is a difference in what calendar is used. The original biblical calendar Jesus followed was the lunar or Luni calendar. Rome changed the calendar to the Gregorian calendar which switched the days around and even eliminated a few days because Caesar Augustus wanted a month named after him, thus the month of August. Other days of the week are named after the pagan gods that they worshipped. Look up the origins of the calendar according to Hebrew vs.Roman. On the lunar calendar, the first day of the week was Sunday. Also the measuring of days was different. Each day started at sunset to sunset which was from around 6 p.m. to 6 p.m., the following day, not midnight to midnight. Thus, the real Hebrew/ Jewish sabbath is Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.
@bristinediaries5 жыл бұрын
@@zyedhez8642 Clearest evidence is in Christ death and resurrection. When they broke the thieves legs and pierced Jesus the day was called the Preparation Day. They did that because they said that the Sabbath was coming so it's not right for them to be on the cross. The first day of the week, He rose again. Now let's look at the calendar. The world agrees that Christ died on Friday (Good Friday) and arose on Sunday (Easter). So what is the day in between them which the Jews called the "Sabbath". It was Saturday. Hope that answered your question.

Constantine never converted. He still held to his pagan beliefs and practices. He saw Christian’s as an opportunity for more political power. So he masked it with the false narrative of “a conversion”. He even rewrote church history (“church fathers”) to centralize power around himself and Rome.

Personally, I dont think the day in which we worship is essential to our salvation as much as the day we give our heart to Yahshua. But I do understand what you're saying and you are correct. I have been questioning many practices in the Christian church.
@promomail17683 жыл бұрын
Why don’t we call it the 9 commandments and let everyone decide themself what the 10th commandment should be? It’s so inconvenient to give a whole 24 hour day to God. It’s probably a slippery slope. Before you can say “and God rested on the 7th day…” I won’t be able to do what I want the other 6 days. Let’s keep arguing it’s a good distraction to buy us sometime so we have no accountability.

I would like to know the source of pagan gods turned into saints. As far as I know the Coptic Church started by apostle Mark in 44 AD Egypt(devoid of paganism) also had the same practices. Perhaps the statues of the gods were turned into Christan statues but beyond that I can see no more correlation. A statue back then was also a way to speak stories to the masses who were illiterate. The people that suffered persecution by the roman church were the heretics, I.e people who denied the trinity, the Cathars and the gnostics who abstained from marriage and starved themselves to death claiming it to be in accordance with the word of God.

Thanks for that👍🏻 Constantine never became Christian… no repentance, no change of lifestyle, just greed of power and sticking to his old ways and just worshiping some god. If he really had a vision of some sort of cross it doesn’t really matter as the spiritual power behind it was not Jesus Christ. Constantine was a talented political and military leader, and merging his view of Christianity with some pagan beliefs was just a political tool useful for him. He was definitely a pioneer in creating a global religion.
