‘Constitution is Congress manifesto’: MP Sasikanth Senthil on Gandhis, social justice, quota

Congress debutant MP Sasikanth Senthil quit the Indian Administrative Services in 2019 over the centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 and revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Six years later, we won the Lok Sabha polls from Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu with a record margin of 5.7 lakh votes.
In this conversation with Newslaundry, Senthil spoke about Congress’s Lok Sabha campaign, the Gandhi family, communities that have suffered years of injustice, and even the division of labour within his family.
He also opened up about how he joined the Congress and his oath in the Lok Sabha, during which he said, “Stop the shameful atrocities against the minorities, Dalits, and Adivasis.”
On the Supreme Court judgement on sub-categorisation in reservation for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, Senthil said that the two sections can’t be considered homogenous, but there is “nothing wrong in special provisions” for those who have been left behind. “The creamy layer idea is atrocious.”

First of all the caste census should be done and the representation should be given as per population %of the different section of society. It should be also examine that which community got over representation. Which community has more worth like land ,building, factories, transport vehicles and other business.
