I remember smashing out houses like it was yesterday. Can't say I miss it much but there is a sense of achievement when finishing a job and working in a great crew like this. Only thing I noticed was the ceiling recess running along the wall with a gap will leave the edge of recess next to 55mm cornice which is a pain for setter. But this is a pro crew 100%

Love the back blocks in the ceiling along the taper, we don't do that much here in NZ, we do it on a floating but join and we try to make it a taper with some timber and packers. great idea with the stick glue that's something I should have done years ago. fantastic job.

Wish we could use your drywall boards in the U.K. they look so much easier to cut and hang than the gypsum plasterboard we use! Our board material we have to score with Stanley knife snap it like you but then cut the other side to actually get the cut off. Then rasp the cut edge smooth. Plus if the board is slight damp from the cold they are a nightmare to get a good clean cut edge🙄. Nice to see you use the same screw guns though they are a god send💪😁

This is incredibly relaxing to watch. I was trying to look up videos to see how thick the ceiling is because we have a rat problem and I'm scared one is going to fall on my face while I'm sleeping, but I came across these fellow Aussies and was able to just chill for a minute. I'm not excited about the thickness of the ceiling though... 🐀

I like those little yellow steps. Shit, that's all you really need with a 8ft cieling. All along I've been using tWo - 3 Ft benches. Those make it look alot easier. And for years I thought to myself, "there's gotta be a better way." It took watching this video to use a frikin little walk up step. Strange how we can be conditioned to hang a certain way and stick with it because it is the "right" way, and think, "this is the best way because I've always done it this way.

This is required by Australian standards 2589 /2007. basically and ceiling with 3 or more joints require it. helps with sheets compressing together (joints peaking)or separating (joints cracking)when framework expands/contracts
