Thank you greg I like to calibrate the plan view drawings in bluebeam then convert pdf to png using an online converter then in photoshop create a very large high resolution pixel canvas and then crop and stitch the drawings together then export the drawings as one large high resolution PNG then in my cad program geo locate it. And use them as layerd backgrounds. So I have all of the information in one place. There is a way to use google chrome settings to give you 8k resolution maps as well but this is only really for delivery of measured cable networks for roads or towns or just to have a presentation pdf of planned works. Thank you again

@@SITENG Hi Greg, I tried paying for the coffee via my card but keeps reverting and insisting on purchasing via PayPal ( I never use PayPal.... Couple of bad previous experiences with it tbh) I'll try again and do know its not the money that you're interested in. Its the consideration and acknowledgement we all look for. Hinkley Point isn't a sweatshop market 😂😂

Is the step at the soffit functions as drop beam ??
@SITENG3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Not always, often it's just a step and to make it possible you need the fold in the slab which creates that thickening.

Hello Siteng! Would you recomend any course before start applying for an engineer position? I'm graduated in civil engineer but when I moved to uk I completely change my job types... I'm wondering try to come back to the site
@SITENG3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andre! Don't wait for a course, start applying now and if you think you need a course then look for one, I can't really recommend any for now. Apply for a junior engineer, or assistant engineer positions.

I also need to know the methodology used for calculating steel quantity since back in India it is quite different as we calculate the weight of the bar by multiplying with its bar weight however in Canada, it's quite different as I can see from the textbook that it is given in terms of mass criteria as kg/mt and even the bar sizes too, they are different, as I can see they are shown in 10M whereas in India it is given in mm. So, I hereby request you to make a video on calculating steel and concrete quantities.
@SITENG2 ай бұрын
Hi! Rebar quants depending on design so if you know how many kg you still need to 'change' it for the rebar di and spacing. UK is in mm as well. I am not calculating rebar quantity as these is provided on the rebar schedule drawings - I only take 1 cube off concrete for every 7850kg steel for the big big pours ;)
