@bgd5339Ай бұрын
Their quality has been suffering for some time now!
@Natedoc808Ай бұрын
@@bgd5339 the quality issues shown here seem to be a lot more driven by the homeowner being directly involved in material sourcing rather than it being a PBB issue. For a project this size, you certainly need at least 3 groups of 3 framers, 4 squads of 3 would be better (the 12 you mentioned). On the other hand having built with southern yellow pine, it’s complete shit and not construction grade in my opinion; it’s so unstable you can keep it ratcheted down and in the shade but it will warp, bow and twist an unusable degree in a matter of hours. Pure garbage. We had 50% loss of one lumber package in 2 days. Said F this and switched to spruce which is not only lighter, essentially just as strong in every way if you build to code (spans, nailing schedule, etc.)

Where I am from, it's called puddle welding with the steel decking. Plug welding is where you have a predrilled holes in thicker material and then you fill the hole. That is also how it is defined in our code. Technically, with deck you do not pre drill the hole.

OSHA-approved man-baskets let you avoid needing scaffolding in some cases.
